It's funny that we take the piss when Wolves fans think that their club is better than it is but we are guilty of the same thing. People not happy with eighth place FFS.

We are a young club with a very bright future but some fans are just not happy with that.

Very true - but we did win the league. (sorry I just love saying that). But I love the way this club is moving. Some of the fans need to get a grip.

You'll have to show me where I said awful all season. Extremely inconsistent all season maybe.

You said "first decent performance after being awful", maybe I don't understand what "first" mean...
Or maybe like all the Puel out fans, you carefully select the period which you find relevant to judge Puel, usually a bad one.

But you would never do that, that would be horribly intellectually dishonest...

If we did that at home probably 2/3 times a season more often I don't think Puel would come under any pressure. A real breath of fresh air performance. We were improved in just about every department - we didn't stick rigidly to the slow build up and actually had some tempo in our game. Thought Maddison had probably his best game for us, Albrighton was excellent, Ricardo's really starting to come good and Mendy had another good game.

The elephant in the room is how much better defensively we look without Maguire. Morgan and Maguire has never truly worked for me. Morgan's actually looking back to his best. I thought he was always better along with Huth as Huth was the more commanding of the two. Maguire isn't really that kind of defender while Evans is probably a bit more like Huth.

I can't really knock anyone on their performance. Gray lacking in end product but he's getting into better positions more frequently and I do think his work rate's improved.

Have mistakes been made ? Sure they have but overall,  like you i like the direction the club is taking. The football on the field will improve as players continue to adapt & new players like Barnes and Benkovic come on board.

Puel is notorious in France for being a “sit on it” type of a guy. I don’t like that approach personally but it can be effective. Ranieri turned us into a sound defensive unit that could grind out games and it worked out well. So expect to see more of it once we go ahead.

‘sit on it’??   That is my ‘Rachel’ dream.....

This year is really the buildup, next season is going to be a potential big move. Massive experience this season for the youngsters with a taste of success, including the ones on loan. Adapting to a new style. I expect Harry to be sold next summer and a major investment to be made in a creative RW and a box to box midfielder, plus Benkovic and Barnes added to the squad. That could be a definite top-6 caliber squad.

And of course, even if it is the Puel out brigade will still be full-throated in their displeasure.

4 wins from the last 11 premier league games including 3 red cards and a -3 goal difference suggests to me that the system has been falling flat on its face.

We looked good today and something seemed to click but one swallow doesn't make a summer. We need to actually carry on playing with some bloody desire like we showed today.

Nothing clicked today at all. We played a team that wanted to play football. Unlike most of the teams that have come to the KP this season. Very hard to play against teams that camp out on the edge of the 18yard box.

That's one of the reasons why our away form is better.

At least enjoy yourselves when we win for Christ’s sake or what’s the point? We had a strong game plan today and implemented it brilliantly. Yes Watford has chances but we’re not gonna get many games where we don’t allow the opposition some opportunities. Cheer up lads

Good point.   Sorry for the delay but I was just rolling round on the floor for a bit ...   no one had touched me, just having a quick roll.

Yes, very clever.

You can still get hurt without the other player directly making contact. There's this thing called a football in between - it doesn't stop force.

Don’t know how many times we have to reiterate that the problem is not and has never been league position! Blimey

So we could be playing wonderful football and in 20th place; then you'd be happy?

Really decent game. Great strike by madders.BUT if they had anyone lethal upfront they would have done. They missed some sitters!!!

No but its not all based on league position, the football just isn't great, lets see if we finish where we are now I ll begrudgingly hold my hands up and at least say he gave us a very good season, even if the football wasn't good.

Good performance by the whole team, Maddison goal was world class, hopefully he keeps his head down like Chilwell, and performs consistently now, and an England call up won’t be too far away.

Ricardo is a gem, he is a RB and is performing like one now, onwards and upwards.
