weller54 Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Same starting 11? They'll be a wounded animal. But think we'll get a point. 1-1.
UPinCarolina Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 No idea how this one will go. I assume that we’ll blow it, but a draw isn’t unimaginable. We’ll be coming in off of a confident and assured display, while they’ve suffered a setback.
foxfanazer Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Never would’ve expected that we’d be coming into this off the back of a win and them a loss. Winnit lads!

They are really feeling the pressure of injuries and a lot of matches at the moment. That formation worked for the cup match, so I say same again... maybe Demarai Gray starting this one instead though, and can see Ghezzal or Shinji coming on for Maddison part way through to keep the front players as fresh as possible. I am feeling pretty good for a point, but as they were saying after the match, the most we would ever have dreamed of for these two matches is maybe 2 points, so we are already 1 up on where we would have hoped...the Man City match therefore is just a bonus match.
Phube Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Well this will be match three of our three guaranteed losses. Of which we have ‘drawn’ one and won one! Still probably feel the Man City backlash though...
Hammo Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Thanks to today's results, I will head to the King Power on Boxing Day in good spirits. More importantly, I expect the players will too. Bring it on.
st albans fox Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Assume vards can’t play twice in four days?
Jattdogg Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Unlikely that they lose back to back games. Either we win 3-1, draw 2-2 or get spanked 4-0. Either way mahrez is going to score.
lgfualol Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 Schmicky D Pereira Evans Maguire Chilwell Albrighton Mendy Hamza Gray Madders Vardy **** em

We gave what was mostly their first team a decent fight on Tuesday, so should be able to frighten them a bit. Hope they have too much Chrismas pud onboard. Iborra in for Ndidi for me, as Wilf needs a rest.
MPH Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 same team for me. got to come out all guns blazing. if we get a goal first 20 minutes we have a chance.

Nalis Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 We'll lose but I just want a decent performance from us, something akin to the 2nd half v Chelsea today in order to take it forward into future matches.

StriderHiryu Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 I think this will be similar to the home game last season where we competed but ultimately the gulf in class prevailed to give them the three points. There’s honestly not that much difference between their first and second teams and we had the better of them in the final 30 of the cup game despite them sending Sterling and Jesus on. Our game plan is going to be the same with the 433 most likely and willing to soak it up instead of taking the game to them and this could work in our favour. Remember we tonked them 4-2 a few seasons back through Vardy. You’d expect them to win but I think this won’t be as one sided as I’d first feared before the Chelsea game.
KFS Posted 22 December 2018 Posted 22 December 2018 We’ll lose but the teams around us have tough games too. I’d take a draw and a win vs Cardiff. That would see us sitting pretty around 7th/8th and something to push on with in 2019.
