justfoxes Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Really hoping CP starts with the same 11 hoping exhaustion doesn’t take its toll on any? CP needs to put out a strong 11 to show our intention go for the jugular from the kick off, really hoping we can keep the momentum going with this one and get the 3 points from this game of which we should be beating Cardiff ! I’m going for a 3-0 but if we do click I can see this one being a higher score !! COME ON VICHAI’S BLUE FOXES ARMY ! ??????????????

Stevosevic Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 There will be changes. I imagine Gray will come in

whoareyaaa Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Probably bring fuschs in for Chilwell (looked tired) and maybe rest Nididi for Silva/Ghezzal Keep the 4-3-3 .

yks Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Some players have played 3 * 90 minutes in 8 days, there will be, I think, a heavy rotation. I think Iborra, Gray and Soyuncu/Evans will start the game, maybe even Ghezzal, Iheanacho, Simpson, Fuchs and people will be mad at Puel for that. We might also "go back" to 4-2-3-1 (even if we played in that system for more than one hour today) and people will be mad at Puel for that. I also think we'll struggle against a team sitting back for 90 minutes and might not win and people will be mad at Puel for that. Or maybe we will crush them with the exact same team as today with 3 defensive CM and people will be mad at Puel for that because he didn't align this team before. (even from people thinking we shouldn't have played with two CM as defensive as Ndidi and Mendy before...) Anyway, I'm not sure about anything except one thing.
baldeagle Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Cardiff will sit with 10 men behind the ball . We will need to change out formation
Dames Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Confidence is high and if no-one is injured then don’t change a winning team, just give them more licence to attack. A raft of changes and a poor performance could leave us back at square one. For once i’d like to see the team under Puel push on and not waste an opportunity.
Clarkey123 Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Please please please if we rest Vardy put Okazaki in not iheanacho
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 In some ways it's a must win to properly silence any doubters. Not saying Puel will be sacked if he loses, but the regular Puel Out massive will be in full voice. Having said that, I think we could go on a ten game winning streak and the first game we lose, they'd be chiming up.
ozvaldo Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 A few changes to keep it fresh. 4-3-3 Kasper Ricardo Harry Evans Chilly Hamza Iborra Mendy Gray Vardy Maddison
Dorchester Fox Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Those moaning about how playing Mendy, N’Didi and Hamza in a midfield three would be too defensive were clearly not watching the tactical changes today.. There was impressive fluidity - with tactical nous today. You’re all too fixed in obvious formations.

I agree with it being a must win in the sense that it could be a massive opportunity to kick on as it would eliminate any creeping doubts about the last 2 results being ‘freak’ results. If its a poor result and a poor performance it would make things worse than previously as it would be a big crash from the highs we’ve just had.
Collymore Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Shinji = 0 goal threat but excellent work rate. Nacho = 0 goal threat and 0 work rate. Shinji is the lesser of two evils but we need to address the striker situation as a priority in January.

jayfox26 Posted 26 December 2018 Posted 26 December 2018 Beat Chelsea, beat Man City so anyone with any sense will put their mortgage on us losing! Its the Leicester way unfortunately. Even making a few changes, We should beat these though. They work hard, like you'd expect a Neil Warnock team to do, but they do lack any real quality. I think the team will be picked on fitness rather than quality/lack of quality of the opposition. The last 2 games will have taken alot out of the players so changes may be needed and fans need to understand and accept that Puel will do what is best for the team and the players when he picks the team. Too many changes could lose our momentum but 2-3 changes wouldn't have too much of an effect. We just need to ensure at least one of Ricardo or Maddison start as they are our main creative threats.
lgfualol Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 Probs need a couple changes Schmeichel Richardo Evans Maguire Fuchs Choudhury Ndidi Iborra (big man for set pieces) Albrighton Vardy Maddison
TheLittleBigMan Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 I've heard these guys are welsh. Could be fake news.

I have to be honest Trav it’s really difficult listening to the descriptions of ‘Puel out people’, ‘people who hate Puel’ etc... Its not black and white / them and us. I’ve never had a problem with the man, I’ve had a problem over the last 12 months with the footballing product inclusive of set up and selection. If he can start setting the team up in a fashion which gets performances out of players, win or lose I’ll be okay - I just struggle to watch or get behind 80% of the football we’ve played over the past 12 months. This week demonstrated we are capable of great performances. Let’s be honest - it’s taken a bit of time. I’d like to see that flexibility in set up, hunger, movement, creativity and passing continue. If it doesn’t he will end up losing his job at some point for the same reasons he did at Southampton, rightly or wrongly. My main concern has always been that we will lose key personnel if Puel persists in playing a brand of football that doesn’t allow them to meet their personal ambitions, develop and play to their strengths. Today we saw some real passion, effort and determination to get to the ball first... Something has changed - there’s obviously some movement behind the scenes but I’ll embrace any change that results in performances like this. Not everybody that called for his head lacks patience, dislikes the man, resents giving youth a chance, or doesn’t understand that we have to transition into a team that can play on the front foot and not just counter attack, or that Vardy can’t be played full time on the shoulder of the opposition... Puel has done some great stuff, bought a couple of gems and has had some good results and the opposite can be said of all those things too. I think the key in all this is attempting to be moderate when we write - balanced. All people that vote one way or another do so for a host of reasons and shouldn’t be all lumped together as one entity and have a set of beliefs attributed to them like a label.
StriderHiryu Posted 27 December 2018 Posted 27 December 2018 Be patient, get behind the lads and make the same atmosphere as today! This will be a totally different game with us seeing plenty of the ball. I actually hope he starts with the same 11 but given how many games we've played and how tiring these two will have been you wouldn't be surprised at all if he rotate heavily. Possibly even Nacho being left out completely today means he will start this game. I just hope we show the same attacking intent. In recent games, we've put some really nice moves together!
