Ricardo, Maddison, Gray just do it at HT

We should be more patient. We have enough quality to play right through these. Instead, we're playing league 2 hoofball tactics.

James, Okazaki and Ghezzal are all awful. Not premier league standard. Need all 3 subs coming on straight away or we are going out.

When I saw the team today I thought we should beat these by 4 or 5 goals so not sure it’s the team selection that is the problem there just seems to be a lack of effort from all except 2 or 3

Put Gray on for Okazaki and put him in front of Iheanacho. Take off James and put Maddison next to Iheanacho. Let Maddison, Iheanacho and Gray get the ball to feet and let them show what they can actually do. STOP aimlessly playing balls in the air and expect anything else to happen other than it being headed straight back.

Looking forward to seeing the Puel in excuses tonight

Oh come on. Yes he should have selected a better side, but the real problem is how crap our depth clearly is. No threat up front, Choudhury having to run the entire midfield by himself, and our backline is aging and too slow.

Our second string should be able to dispatch a League Two side, no matter how good they are for their level. Based on the first half, they can't. They need to buck their ideas up.

I'm by no means a Puel apologist but even I think the team he sent out should be good enough to beat Newport County.

Players should be ashamed of themselves tbh.

It should be but buck stops with him. I’m not in about team selection anyway, I hate his brand of football and find watching us pretty tedious
