Loan with a view to permanent wouldn't be a bad idea, makes it a quite risk free move as you're not tied down if he flops but have the option of a potentially really talented kid if you want him.

I am a bit wary that people are getting a bit carried away by this one based on the FM wonderkid thing and I say this as an FM basher lol

The Monaco fans concerns shouldn't be ignored just because it kills our enthusiasm. This is the same set of fans who warned us Ghezzal was poor, and they haven't really been wrong either.

I do think his style seems to be what we're needing, a midfielder who is a bit more ambitious in their play, but do have a fear that this will be another Iheanacho situation as well. This is why I'm for the loan if we can get it. Actually think a loan with a view to permanent is far better than a straight permanent.

Best case scenario is he comes here and we conclude the environment at AS Monaco in the past year and a bit is what's done it for him, that they did in fact fail to get the best from a genuine talent.

lol do find it funny how bad they've gone without him and how good Norwich have gone without Maddison.

My mate just texted me and said we've got him for £20m ...

I have just received a text of a mate stating that we have signed him for 18.5 Mill however we gave them a buy back clause of 22mill.

But then again I'm just chatting shit I have no mates.

He's normally on the money ...  but just to cover all bases I've texted him back and called him a bellend ...

If United/Barca are in, close thread.

I fail to see how a highly rated player who has by and large flopped in France is going to go to either of those clubs and play regularly. I can see why he may want a stepping stone club like us in England.

All these links to big clubs coming out now makes me think it is probably the agent stirring stuff up to get a deal done

Same as what happened with us for Nandez and Cagliari

Still don't see this happening but even then if he's not cut it in the french leagues I'm not optimistic he's what we need. A loan would be a bad deal as he'll probably need time to settle so wouldn't immediately have any impact for us, if he ends up going back in Summer it's just a total waste of money!
