Jonezy Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Now use those frustrations and desire against the non top 6 teams. What a frustration this season is though.
Spiritwalker Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 They're the third best team in the country and we played them off the pitch. Shame about the score.
Sunny Rhyl Fox Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 The better team but we just can’t take the chances when they come
KingsX Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Two weeks in a row we’ve put a top six side totally on the back foot. Nine shots on goal. If you are still bitching that this is shit football, I have no words for you. We clearly have a talented team. Looking more and more like it is ready to break out, but unable to break the habit of shooting themselves in the foot. A third of the season left. A chance to fashion a “great escape” from mediocrity and set ourselves up to capitalize on this core. We do need to start getting results, now. But these young guys won’t hit the beach and I am staying behind them.
kingfox Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Can't blame Puel for that, players are to blame for crap finishing. They took their chances, we didn't take ours. Tielemans MOTM, nice to have a midfielder who can actually pass forward. Next two home games are massive.
ousefox Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 1 minute ago, FIF said: Great game to watch. Puel got it right. Vardy just isn't on form. He is the only player who managed to score for us today despite only getting 30mins. The rest of the team missed chance after chance. How on earth did he get it right?
foxinsocks Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Lets not debate... If top can just sack puel and bring in wagner we can all get behind him now
HankMarvin Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 3 minutes ago, HitchinFox said: Could've easily won that, had we taken our chances. Outplayed them. How many times have we heard that How many times does it actually happpen
Wizerud Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 A loss is a loss. Hugely positive performance, such a young team, how can anyone not be excited? We're not gonna get relegated, we're probably not gonna qualify for Europa so let's experiment with these young players and have them gel this season so we're ready to really push on next year.
GingerrrFox Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Barnes buries that sitter and Vardy scores the pen, we are sat here having a completely different conversation at 3-3. That performance was real top drawer stuff in parts.
BlueSi13 Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Done with this season. Write it off. Playing weakened sides in the cups really payed off eh? IMO new man, new ideas needed in the summer. People saying best performance in a while...we lost 3-1 against a stuttering Spurs side in 2nd gear with their two best players out.
car1os Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 In 2014-5, we were bottom of the league and looked like we were going down but at no stage did we look like we were totally outclassed. We kept supporting the team and manager. Then with 9 games to go we clicked and won 7 of those games, sealing a miracle survival. We’ve played well in the last 3 games with little reward but Tielemans looks like he’s the missing link. If Vardy starts the next match and we keep our heads up and keep fighting, I think we’ll turn things round and go on a good run. Let’s keep supporting the team, NOT booing them at home, and try to encourage our younger players. Whether we keep Puel or get shot of him at the end of the season our impact as fans on these young players will last far longer than Puels tenure at this club.
TheSomersetFox Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Really weird, as annoying as that was I’ve come out of it pretty encouraged. Can’t inagine our finishing will ever be that bad again. Tielemans is a proper player. Our own worst enemies again though sadly
EnglishOxide Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Very frustrating, missed chances by the players cost us points today, nothing to do with Puel no matter what anybody says. On the plus side, we've got some good fixtures coming up. Draw a line under it, carry our performances into these games and we will be absolutely fine pushing on 7th again.
lgfualol Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 We played really well actually. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a jabroni. The penalty probably would have tilted the game in our favour. Really poor attempt and you knew he would miss. Hopefully Vardy has some hunger again after his benching.
StanSP Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Can't fault that performance at all really. Says a lot that we come away from a side challenging for the title and a 3-1 score flatters them. Yes we all had a go at Puel for dropping Vardy but we still created plenty of opportunities and should have buried some of them. Even more so when he was on the pitch as well. Game could have even been put to bed by the time they scored any of their goals and that's what frustrates me. Don't see how Puel can wholly be blamed for that defeat. Some players out there will be very disappointed at not scoring. The promising thing is that we played some very nice football today.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 I'm just fed up of literally every single goal we concede down to massive cock up somewhere on the pitch. Did Chilwell even look up when he played that last cross in? It's just mistake after mistake after mistake and then miss after miss after miss. Its awful.
Livid Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Dreadful finishing, individual errors again. Spurs didn’t beat us we beat ourselves.
Haywood_6 Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Played some good football but if you waste chances it means absolutely nothing.
Preston Fox Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Apart from the finishing, that was an excellent performance. Let’s not forget Spurs are a bloody good side and we outplayed them. It’s a poor run but we’ve had some tough games. We’ve got an easier run now-can see us picking up a few wins.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 If we didn't have Tielemens I'd be more worried about this rut we're in. Still think Vardy should have started, Gray doesn't suit striker at all, because he isn't one! Vardy shouldn't have taken the penalty but I had no confidence in Maddison either. Still a lot to work on and put right when it comes to finishing chances, we need our coaches and sports scientists to work on this, as it's a real problem. Puel got a lot right today to be fair to him, but this is a real fvcking worry.
reynard Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Play the club's only decent striker from the start and maybe we get something? Just asking.
The Doctor Posted 10 February 2019 Posted 10 February 2019 Anyone who wants to slag off the manager after that is a fool. We absolutely bossed it, they could have no complaints if we'd walked away winners by 2 or 3. The difference? Moment of class from Eriksen and Son having the composure that Barnes, Vardy, Gray, Iheanacho, Chilwell and Evans lacked. Tielemans was mint, and I think if Vardy, Barnes, Gray, Okazaki and Iheanacho can find their shooting boots, he's the missing piece of the puzzle with his dynamism and passing. Positive signs, 2 weeks until Palace, get on the training pitch and focus on finishing

Cant blame the manger for not bringing in a striker in the summer and still relying on a sub thats scored about 4 goals in 45 games
