RoboFox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Scraped through, Brighton deserved something from the game. But wins have been scarce recently. There is much work for Brendan ahead.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Plenty to be happy with since we won but plenty for The Brodge to improve, too. New era incoming.
HankMarvin Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Hope he dont give his life too early would be a shame
ronnup Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 It’s officially better to play badly and win than play well and lose
Tuna Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Delighted to win. Brighton ran out of ideas with 10 minutes to go and I think we just about did enough.
MC Prussian Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Maddison needs to get part of his head straight again. Couple of highly dubious decisions today. Barnes looked almost untouchable, with a bit of work on his scoring ability, he'll be something. Tielemans influential in the first half, but faded later on. He'll get better and prove his worth in the weeks to come. Happy for Vardy to return onto the scoresheet, I just wished he'd cut down on these bloody clumsy challenges. No need for it. Maguire with the entertainment bit of the evening - proper Brazilian, that. Schmeichel - top class save in the first half. All in all, a great team effort. Lacking in parts, but I see a highly promising future ahead.
foxfanazer Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Nice win and at times we looked good. Brighton probably worth the draw though. B Rodge has some decent players to work with
Guest Mee-9 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Cor we needed that. Barnes just needs a bit of chill.
The Guvnor Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Great win tonight albeit under the cosh for a lot of the match. Barnes does look an exciting prospect and lightning quick.
lgfualol Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Barnes is ****ing great. Wish he scored one of his chances. Considering new manager bounce I thought we were lucky to win.
Chester Dontlie Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 A win, at home, at last!!! Shaky defensively lots of room to improvement but it was nice not to concede first after a long while. Hopefully there are good times ahead... Get in an teach them the winning ways Rodge !

Yep though he played a great ball through to Vardy for his goal, he was very frustrating to watch tonight. He slows it down too much and has too much of a laboured approach. Compare that with Barnes, Ricardo and Tielemans, who all move it quickly and you can see what he needs to work on. Rodgers brought in a creative Brazilian lad at Liverpool called Coutinho was it? Where is he now? Maybe he can get the best out of Maddison with time.
VIKTOR-LE5 Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Played well in patches, but Maddison does my nut in, should've been subbed earlier.
blaaklint Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 To be honest, I reckon that was actually pretty similar to our last few matches. We won, which is great, but all the same issues were there.
PhillippaT Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 ...And breathe... Lots for Brendan to work with and on, that Puel seemed to struggle with. The foundations are definitely there, though.
sishades Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Good sub by Stowell bringing on Mendy. We looked better after that
knitro Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 What's exciting is that once Barnes scores, his nerves will settle a bit and he'll be even better. Rampant on the left today. Goals: Gray 1-0 Vardy 2-0

I do wonder what he will bring though? Puel put in Chilwell and Gray in his first match in charge and switched to one man upfront immediately.
