Brighton Home 2-1 Post Match Thread

Scraped through, Brighton deserved something from the game.

But wins have been scarce recently.

There is much work for Brendan ahead.

Delighted to win. Brighton ran out of ideas with 10 minutes to go and I think we just about did enough.

Maddison needs to get part of his head straight again. Couple of highly dubious decisions today.

Barnes looked almost untouchable, with a bit of work on his scoring ability, he'll be something.

Tielemans influential in the first half, but faded later on. He'll get better and prove his worth in the weeks to come.

Happy for Vardy to return onto the scoresheet, I just wished he'd cut down on these bloody clumsy challenges. No need for it.

Maguire with the entertainment bit of the evening - proper Brazilian, that.

Schmeichel - top class save in the first half. :appl:

All in all, a great team effort. Lacking in parts, but I see a highly promising future ahead.

Cor we needed that.

Barnes just needs a bit of chill.

A win, at home, at last!!!

Shaky defensively lots of room to improvement but it was nice not to concede first after a long while. Hopefully there are good times ahead... Get in an teach them the winning ways Rodge !

Yep though he played a great ball through to Vardy for his goal, he was very frustrating to watch tonight. He slows it down too much and has too much of a laboured approach. Compare that with Barnes, Ricardo and Tielemans, who all move it quickly and you can see what he needs to work on.

Rodgers brought in a creative Brazilian lad at Liverpool called Coutinho was it? Where is he now? Maybe he can get the best out of Maddison with time.

Played well in patches an Maddison does my nut in, should've been subbed earlier.

Our subs always seem to take a long time to happen...  Some teams have made all three before we make one!

To be honest, I reckon that was actually pretty similar to our last few matches. We won, which is great, but all the same issues were there.

We all agree, but got to remember that Rodgers was just watching. The first chance he gets to work with the team is tomorrow.

I do wonder what he will bring though? Puel put in Chilwell and Gray in his first match in charge and switched to one man upfront immediately.

Talking about proper Brazilians... Why no Rachel pics during the match thread?

Barnes is ****ing great. Wish he scored one of his chances.

Considering new manager bounce I thought we were lucky to win.

Can't really call it new manager bounce
