Plenty of work to be done, though also lots of positives to take away too. Harvey Barnes was exhilarating to watch. Needs a bit more work on his end product but once it comes the boy will become a hero. He's the one that looks like the Mahrez replacement to me.

bfox Posted 26 February 2019 Posted 26 February 2019 Overall, an OK game, some encouraging moments, some poor spells again. Few points of note, we really lack leadership and grit which nearly every team come to exploit, even if they aren't technically as gifted. Has us struggling to control a game for large periods. Probably due to having a team mostly full of youngsters. Need to learn to track runners better, we get carved open way too easily on the counter. Generally just need to improve spacial awareness without the ball. Ricardo needs to improve his decision making defensively - Referring to over committing quite often in games, missing the ball and letting a player through down the wing. No qualms with any other aspects of his game. Madders needs to learn to release the ball a bit quicker. Barnes fantastic effort, composure will come with more experience. Not bad, a lot to work on for Brendan.
