Tielemans

If he'd chose us over Spurs and Man United, more than likely it's because he wants game time. He isn't going to get any more game time at Man City opposed to Spurs or Man United.

The verminous Spuds are our biggest threat!

If his agent has been speaking to other clubs then he is simply doing his job and looking out for his client. Even if YT tells him that he wants to come here then his agent should be assessing what package he could get at alternative clubs in the PL to make sure he doesn’t ‘undersell’ him to us

I wouldn't call that the 'worst thing'.

Tielemans in a Spurs shirt and Silva in a Leicester one would be the worst thing.

Funny 2 liked your post and non liked mine when we saying the same thing, because if we leaving it to the last week it means we not getting tielemans and it will be a panic buy to substitute the player.  So yes would be the worst thing.

Guardiola was hugely impressed with Tielemans’ performance in City’s  1-0 win over the Foxes at the Etihad this month and made a beeline for the midfielder after the game.

so it could be bollocks

well for a start it was tielemans worst game for us, so pep seems impressed easily if he was impressed.

Not coming to Leicester won't be an easy decision for him.

He will be first choice an play every week.

He'll appreciate the good atmosphere and camaraderie around the club and know that he is loved by the players, staff and fans.

He has great football conditions that suit him, when he looks around at the team we have a GK and back four that compare favourably to any team in the league.

Vardy compares favourably to any striker in the league and is dream for Yourri to play though balls to him.

Playing in a MF 3 with Maddison and Ndidi fits him like a glove. Ndidi does a lot of Tielemans donkey work and allows him to get forward more and be more creative. Maddison is also an excellent creative player and stops teams focusing on stopping Tielemans.

Giving the above up isn't easy as you may never get better conditions to play football in your whole career. If we get a top class winger addition then he'll know this team is going places.

So the Tielemans deal could rest on us signing Arjen Robben?

Some folk really don’t consider that Tielemans probably won’t stop playing football until the second week of June and then he will get chance for a holiday with his family.

Monaco want a bidding war and will wait. If our offer is the best on the table, that will accept it approx late July. There’s been no concrete interest from any other club yet so we will see

If Tielemans doesn’t sign, the biggest mistake in all of this will be that the club didn’t start negotiating a buy option after getting the loan wrapped up.

They didn’t want him so we should have been working on an option to buy from the Spurs away game onwards. Appreciate we might not have had the time to do that before the window closed but there’s nothing to have stopped us having that conversation over the last 3 months.

I hope it doesn’t come back to bite us.

And you know it to be true  that we haven’t been in conversation over the past three months ??

Monaco didn’t want to put an option to buy into the loan deal - they knew that his time here would be used a showpiece for them to get a big fee - we went into that with our eyes open and must have hoped we could convince YT to stay with us.

Looks like both will end up being true but that doesn’t mean we get him as others will probably gazump the deal

as had had been said before, if YT tells Monaco that he will only leave to come here then it’s up to us to stump up enough dosh to get a deal done.  If we aren’t prepared to do that then he will have to look at other options

My guess is that a few elite clubs have expressed their interest but Tielemans is not their first choice. Tielemans will come to Leicester but we're not his first choice either.

For Tielemans it will be a balancing act of keeping Leicester as his fall back interested for as long as possible while waiting to see if he gets a better offer.

Leicester need to push Tielemans but not too hard, it's a fucking tightrope Spud I tell ya.

Complete clap trap !!

Any reason why my guess is "complete clap trap"?

Meaningless saying that without an alternative view point.

If we can’t pay the fee, he won’t stay at Monaco. He doesn’t get on with the manager, I’m sure he’d rather be a rotated player elsewhere than not play at all for Monaco.

You just have to look at players such as Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell, not the most talented, but both had the potential and were highly rated. Both went to Man City and came out disastrously from it.

I think people are realising that signing for a big team young isn't always best. Look at Mahrez, he won the league and was our best player, but doesn t touch their team at for weeks.

You'd hope agents would look past the money and advise them against it unless they're going to play. Minus LB and maybe CB, where would they fit in at Man City?

Most Agents ever think about is big club big wedge for them which is a shame see the ££££££ signs and they get greedy !!

unfortunately for some it’s all about the money !!???

If we were the selling club, then we'd try and get as much from the deal as poss to fund our next outlays.

The situation with Harry (if he's going) will be no different, we'll try to encourage a bidding war between the interested parties.

Would love Tielemans to sign for us, as would all city fans.

Hope he's advised properly as, as been said about Rodwell etc, he's a real prospect but he's got time on his side just to play and enjoy his football for a bit.

Leicester is a good fit for him at this stage and I hope he chooses us.
