Hammo Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 We should all know by now that any report beginning with 'sky sources report' or 'sky sports understands' that does not include a direct quote from the interested party/parties is complete guesswork or fabrication geared to fuel a particular agenda. Shameless.

Ric Flair Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 I don't deny that they haven't made it up, I strongly believe this has come from Man Utd and not from Maguire or his agent. Sky have absolutely no filter when it comes to what it reports though when they are desperate for an outcome to happen. They make themselves look the fcukin pits.

If Maguire wants to go, he knows what he has to do... hand in that transfer request Until one of these things happen then Sky and United should just Shut Up and stop trying to disrupt our preparations for pre-season, player and both clubs are in a state of limbo and frankly it's down to that shit show United for not being able to manage a football club correctly. They article has really triggered me!!! Don't worry it's fine, I can't stand some of our fans neither.

"Harry, what do you think of Leicester?"... "I love it here". Seems a perfectly reasonable answer. 4 hours ago, Buce said: I don't doubt that he may have 'fondness' for the club, don't doubt he's grateful for the platform we've given him, and agree he's handled the situation well- with dignity, even - and I have nothing bad to say about him; but he wasn't born here, never supported us, and has only been here a couple of years. There is no way he 'loves' the club, that is just a gross undervaluing of the word. Put yourself in his shoes, as Leicester fans. If you were good enough to play football, and spent a couple of years at a club other than Leicester, would you 'love' that club because they treated you well? Could you love any club but Leicester? 100% agree. There is a big difference between enjoying the workplace and being fond of the club for what its provided and 'loving the club' in the way that some imply. I'd assume that if he 'loves' any club its Sheff United and that's absolutely fine with me. Leicester is a work environment for footballers and, right now, a good one, so "loving it here" is a reasonable thing to say, but its not the same as "loving the club". I think Harry has handled himself very well through out this and the only place that's been contested is by no mark twitter click bait.

Ted Maul Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 I'm strangely relaxed about this one. Full faith in the club that we won't allow ourselves to be bullied and fairly confident that Harry has too much respect for us to start acting like Mahrez at any point. If he goes, we will receive a world record bid for a defender and should be able to strengthen 2 positions with the proceeds. If he stays, we go into the season with an excellent and settled back line. Win-win scenario. It's amusing how many United fans seem to take nonsense clickbait articles as gospel, isn't it?
foxgas Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 26 minutes ago, nwl fox said: Exactly. I wasn't opposed to selling initially if the price was right, but the more they try and ramp this up the more I think we just need to take a stance as if we give in now they are going to do exactly the same next time round with the likes of Maddison, Tielemans and Ricardo... I couldn't agree more. Man city got Mahrez at 20m below his value and United are trying the same tactics. If Harry's not happy stick him in the reserves,go with what we've got and let him wave goodbye to his England place.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 I would probably get shot down for this, but personally I would take £65m + Bailly.

I think another thing is that with how humble/proud a guy he seems, he doesn’t want to be seen as a player than downs tool, gets mardy, hands in transfer requests etc. to get what he wants
Jattdogg Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 Wouldn't it be hilarious if maguire tweeted out saying he nor anyone in his camp said it would be an honour to join United.

ajthefox Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 No quotes from Harry anywhere and the club has said Harry is relaxed about it. I know who I believe. Fvck Sky and their clickbait rumours and Fvck Man Utd for all their recent failures and attempts to bully us.
turkish14 Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 37 minutes ago, ClaphamFox said: Those quotes from Maguire about emulating his heroes Vidic and Ferdinand have all the hallmarks of somebody who has been told by his potential new club to put pressure on his existing club to lower the price by telling a sob story about his desperation to leave. Disappointing from slabhead. Don’t fall for it....... shit!! You just have ?
mozartfox Posted 18 July 2019 Posted 18 July 2019 I would love it, just love it, if we take Woody the Wood-peckers Y-Fronts down and rinse Manure for 80m. BR is playing a blinder with his latest comments.

Someone can love the club and still realistically accept the chance to go to one of the biggest clubs in the world for a huge pay increase. Good God - compare the way Harry has handled this situation with the way Mahrez did. I've said if before - I don't know how any LCFC fan could ask more of a guy than what Harry has done with regards to the transfer drama. I'd sell him in a heartbeat for 80 million but I'll regard him with nothing but gratitude if he does go. Exactly this, I think many don’t actually understand the bond players actually create at there club. Especially ours, we are one big family & the majority of the players have a special bond with other players, coaches all the way down to the chefs & kit-men.
