foxfanazer Posted 17 June 2020 Posted 17 June 2020 At least it feels like things are getting back to normal after that result
Leicesterpool Posted 17 June 2020 Posted 17 June 2020 Can imagine the Arsenal fanzine tomorrow (The Sun) will keep it quiet about the result tonight.
CloudFox Posted 17 June 2020 Posted 17 June 2020 (edited) Ederson's punching really needs looking at. He keeps doing it, and it's seriously endangering players, time and again. Edited 18 June 2020 by CloudFox 1

I blame being old To be fair, I don't think I've seen that before, when they've stated a player has gone off injured without being replaced. Could be wrong though. 1

Villa must have been shown the incident at half time. Poor that they didn't do the decent thing and concede from the restart. Definitely, considering Leeds did it for them last season
WigstonWanderer Posted 18 June 2020 Posted 18 June 2020 Probably not “cool” to say so, but I much prefer having the artificial crowd noise than nothing at all. Surprised they haven’t put in a CGI crowd on the terraces.

Without the crowd noise it felt like watching a German game

Farrington fox Posted 18 June 2020 Posted 18 June 2020 Absolute bollox. That incident made an embarrassing mockery of the whole setup.

Foxin_Mad Posted 18 June 2020 Posted 18 June 2020 I dont understand when there is any question about a decision. Just look on the screen! Something that obvious would have took seconds to see. Dumb. I dont understand why we bother with VAR if it just stands by crap decisions. It even more of a joke to have a screen at the side of the pitch noone will use because the head of refs is a tit!! Ahhh....that feels better! Footballs back!
Foxin_Mad Posted 18 June 2020 Posted 18 June 2020 Can the Refs make a decisions against Hawkeye if they think it's wrong. To me it looked like Oliver knew it when in.
jonthefox Posted 18 June 2020 Posted 18 June 2020 Just now, David Hankey said: Arsenal for relegation? Not sure about that, but they're certainly on a downward spiral. Lovely to watch.

Personally, I think Arteta is the right man for Arsenal but he's inherited a shite squad full of prima donnas. If he bins half of them off in the summer and recruits well, I think he'll do a decent job there in the end. 1

notnow john Posted 18 June 2020 Posted 18 June 2020 Heard Dermot O'Really on sky lauding the Hawkeye system. "It's one in a million, that's the first time in nine thousand" @Alf Bentley that's one for your comic. 1

Conspiracy theory, are they trying to keep "unfashionable" Sheffield Utd out of Campions League/Europa League places for a more "fashionable" side?
TheUltimateWinner Posted 18 June 2020 Posted 18 June 2020 What really gripes me about these PGMOL statements is, it's always something or someone elses fault. There's always something they manage to hide behind.

Whether Michael Oliver's watch battery was not working (affected by his new sidies) or for the 1st time in 9000 matches the ball went in at that particular angle, what happened to VAR?? Anybody know the reason why Stockwell Park didn't step in? 3rd option - some bloke running down the side, didn't it used to be his job? e.g. Tofik Bakhramov, Geoff Hurst & Wembley!!! Villa better not stay up by 1pt or goal difference!!!

Popular Post Kitchandro Posted 18 June 2020 Popular Post Posted 18 June 2020 (edited) Ederson up to his old tricks again last night - knocked Iheanacho out against us and then nearly killed his own teammate last night. I don’t understand why there’s no outrage about this, that last night was as bad as Schumacher in the 1982 World Cup. It’s even worse that it’s his own player. When are goalkeepers going to be reprimanded for that sort of thing? It’s embarrassing that they are encouraged to ‘take everything’. To say it’s reckless is an understatement, if an outfield player had done that he’d have been sent off. The fact he got the ball is irrelevant, you can’t steam in like that, it’s dangerous play, it’s excessive force, it fits plenty of the phrases that demand a red card. Disgraceful.
