Jesse Lingard is a classic 40 million quid Everton flop. I’d bet big money that’s where he starts next season.

I do hope so.  He is Drinkwater the sequel.

Only seen the second half but Everton have been garbage

Can;t even beat Liverpool's bloomin' kids!

When I saw the team sheets I thought they could do us a massive favour and make the FA Cup that fraction closer to our grasp.

Got to feel for Ancelotti. Massive double blow. First he gets sacked by Napoli and then he gets the Everton job. Talk about kicking a man while he's down.

I'll probably get slated for this because it's just cool to trash on Drinkwater now but I'd take peak DD over Praet personally. If we're going to play the diamond at any point again then I'd happily have 15/16 Drinkwater and Tielemans between Maddison and Ndidi.

I think some people forget how good he was for us, Drinkwater.

Disagree. Prime Drinkwater was brilliant and his ability is only slagged off on here because our fans are still bitter about him leaving to a ‘bigger club’. He was one of our best players for such a key part of a our recent history and his demise is really sad.

Yes it’s sad for the lad and he was in the right place at the right time and a vital piece of the jigsaw at that time, but let’s not be too sad when he earns more than double in a week than most do in a year and gets it whether he plays or not

Use a bit of common sense I’m not coming on here to try and gain pity for a grown man on X amount per week am I. Obviously talking about the decline of his footballing career.

Having said that, I’ve heard he has a major issue with drink and if that’s true I wish him the best of luck because what he helped achieve here was amazing.

In the championship and next to Kante in a different system.

two very different propositions especially as he was x years younger.

He was also one of our better players during 16/17.

No worries Suzie, you can keep it dry as dust and still get through the month.
