If we're going to shell out a shit load on a bottom half sides defender then go and buy Ake - better player, a bit younger, and a better fit for our system. A no brainer. If we go with Caglar and Benkovic then I've got no issues with that either (though it would somewhat limit us to back four systems in my opinion unless he wants to promote Josh Knight too). However if we do this then we've got to really get a quality attacking player in as well.

Are is decent, but surely not a replacement for the physical presence of Maguire, too short.
