Come on. He did well yday when he can on but he’s not a hell of a player. For 30 million he’s at best am ok squad player. He shouldn’t be starting and shouldn’t be put out wide again. He’s clearly beat as a 10 and needs to be a impact sub.

On his day he's a hell of a player. Maybe i didn't emphasise that enough. His problem has always been his inconsistencies. Sometimes he's awful and sometimes he's excellent like yesterday. Last year we barely saw anything that was remotely good from him but if he can return back to 19/20 form especially more centrally it'd be excellent. If he can stay injury free i reckon it will happen.

I’m not his greatest fan but he certainly changed the game when he came on, so credit  where credit is due…

What a pass to pick out Vardy for the assist.

Indeed. Eye of the needle stuff. What was there, 3 or 4 defenders?

One swallow doesn’t make a summer

Glad he did well and hope that he continues to do well (seems like a nice bloke too)

His ‘body of work’ still leaves me incredibly frustrated!

Thought he’s played much better this season, stand-outs being Napoli and Saturday. The red card may have actually lit a fire under him to get his head down and really give it everything. Glad he’s beginning to add something to an already fantastic front line!

Nice to see him run to the fans and without any of that cupping ear or pointing to his name on his shirt crap. He seems to have taken it on the chin. Fair play

I always thought of him as a good player just struggling to fit in. I think that has been Brendan's problem trying to find where to play him. So we'll have to wait and see how much he's learned from Saturdays game.

That piece of inventiveness for Vardy's pass was just sublime, and the finish from Vardy equally as good.

That's the level we need to be at in every game. Let's hope it continues.

That's his goal celebration though .... I've never seen him do that for an assist

I’ve been impressed recently with Perez and think that now we have a bit more attacking depth he could finally become a useful squad player.

Not worth the transfer fee, but that’s hardly his fault.

He looked more interested than I've ever seen him yesterday.

Hopefully it continues because the squad needs it.

Could simply be competition for places, lots more options this year.

There do seem to be signs of improvement with Perez. Whisper it quietly though because it might be total horse shit

....the options ahead of him has doubled and has given him a freedom previously denied when just playing with one upfront!!!

Having Nacho and Vardy or Daka ahead of him now allows him options with the movement and defenders now constrained in marshalling the potential threats from our attackers. He now can choose to go on his own or play in one of the strikers, as opposed to being forced to try and find Vardy or play the ball wide to Ricardo, to get around the back of the opposition.

He seems to have had an injection and belief in the way we play and his role within the team.

I think the role he has played recently- coming off the bench last 30 minutes or so he has been excellent at. I don’t feel he has the legs to pull defenders around the pitch as a starter to tire them out. That being said, he’s proved himself to be a valuable squad member last few games.
