Apt replacement for Maddison in the context of the game. Contributed well, too. Good assist for Vardy and settled straight in to the team and pace of the game.

Need to give props where it's due, had an excellent appearance off the bench today.

He changed the game. His energy levels you can always rely on, but he had good quality today too. Great assist for Vardy, should have scored late on too.

He should probably start ahead of Maddison in this system, even though Maddison had a decent game. The difference was Perez found the final ball, whereas Maddison couldn't (even though he was very close many times).

Thought he was a great replacement for Madders today. JM did ok, but is not quite back to his best. Perez I thought looked really comfortable in the 10 position behind 2 strikers (where he is only usually behind 1).  Mind you, the Utd defence were pretty guff today.

I don't think Perez is a starter, he seems to drift in and put and at time looks lost and uninterested. However, when he comes off the bench, he is a completely different player. It's like he studies the game from the bench and makes a huge difference when he comes in. 2 assists today, fair play and well done

That pass was classy.

It was, that little flick pass is often so badly executed by our players. Perez has tried it loads over the years and Barnes and Praet liked to do it as well and it never seems to be accurate or with the right weight but that was superb today and probably the only ball that produces that goal from that play.

Perez enjoyed JV's goal as much as JV did. I sense that there he has a little bit of anger towards the critics.

Today, undoubtedly was his best game for us.

No one in the team tries harder, JV excepted.

Yes, you do, and yes he was. And don't call me Sue.

That was supposed to be "aye". Clearly this site has a problem with us Scots.

Rodgers's inability to get a tune out of him has been where the past criticism should have been aimed.

We saw at Newcastle, that Benitez could get a tune out of him, as he's now doing with Gray.

With Perez/Lookman/Barnes/Iheanacho/Daka/Vardy there are plenty of different options there.

This is just Ayoze and has nothing to do with Rogers, who has actually improved him from what I've seen.

Perez was exactly like this at Newcastle, exciting young prospect bought for pennies under Pardew and stagnated under Rafa. My mates a life long Toon fan. Firstly he laughed at the transfer fee and then his summary was he'll have you banging your head against a wall! 3 weeks he will look superb and then vanish for the next 3, so he was pretty much spot on.

I suspect our scouting signed him to get that consistently out of him, which is hopefully coming now.. clearly a very talented player although certainly won't help if we boo him unless we think that's what turned Kelechis form around!!

Long may this run continue, I'm a fan if his contributions and when on form he's a cracking player.

Are we giving him 3 assists? For Soyunchu goal the ball got tangled in his feet and just rolled to Cags.
