Popular Post Shane Posted 16 October 2021 Popular Post Posted 16 October 2021 I think Brendan recognised Utd was really struggling against our high press & bringing on Perez helped exploit that weakness further. His work rate and press was exactly what we needed at the time. Daka also made a nuisance of himself when he came on. Overall, great subs by Brendan today . 12 2
ARTY_FOX Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 I'll gladly eat humble pie. Wasn't thrilled he was coming on especially as I think maddison was playing well but fair play. He did very well. 1
StanSP Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 Apt replacement for Maddison in the context of the game. Contributed well, too. Good assist for Vardy and settled straight in to the team and pace of the game.
OadbyBlue Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 Deserves a lot of credit, he’s been fantastic since the red card. 2

His energy levels you can always rely on, but he had good quality today too. Great assist for Vardy, should have scored late on too. He should probably start ahead of Maddison in this system, even though Maddison had a decent game. The difference was Perez found the final ball, whereas Maddison couldn't (even though he was very close many times). 2
Popular Post Kierzz Posted 16 October 2021 Popular Post Posted 16 October 2021 (edited) That assist with the amount of players surrounding him and side footed was top class. If Ronaldo did that all of the media would be raving about it Edited 16 October 2021 by Kierzz Typo 11
Popular Post blurryface Posted 16 October 2021 Popular Post Posted 16 October 2021 Hope the boo boys were humbled today, never give up on your own 14
RumbleFox Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 When played as a 10 he’s pretty much always looked good. He’s technically a very very good player. 2
Big Dave Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 Thought he was a great replacement for Madders today. JM did ok, but is not quite back to his best. Perez I thought looked really comfortable in the 10 position behind 2 strikers (where he is only usually behind 1). Mind you, the Utd defence were pretty guff today.

st albans fox Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 The few who booed him on should be ashamed …… not much point in labouring the point though ….. it’s doubtful they understand the game in any case …. 3
Popular Post Scanchez Posted 16 October 2021 Popular Post Posted 16 October 2021 I FINK ITS BEST TO BOO AND THEN IF THEY PLAY OK - STOP BOOING I PAY THEIR WAGES 7
danhaw Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 I don't think Perez is a starter, he seems to drift in and put and at time looks lost and uninterested. However, when he comes off the bench, he is a completely different player. It's like he studies the game from the bench and makes a huge difference when he comes in. 2 assists today, fair play and well done 1

Perez has tried it loads over the years and Barnes and Praet liked to do it as well and it never seems to be accurate or with the right weight but that was superb today and probably the only ball that produces that goal from that play.
Scotch Posted 16 October 2021 Posted 16 October 2021 Sue, you have to give him credit. He was excellent when he cam on. 1
enmac Posted 17 October 2021 Posted 17 October 2021 Perez enjoyed JV's goal as much as JV did. I sense that there he has a little bit of anger towards the critics. Today, undoubtedly was his best game for us. No one in the team tries harder, JV excepted.

FoxyLeon Posted 17 October 2021 Posted 17 October 2021 Rodgers's inability to get a tune out of him has been where the past criticism should have been aimed. We saw at Newcastle, that Benitez could get a tune out of him, as he's now doing with Gray. With Perez/Lookman/Barnes/Iheanacho/Daka/Vardy there are plenty of different options there.
NasPb Posted 17 October 2021 Posted 17 October 2021 Hopefully he stays injury free. Last year i believe some of his poor form could be blamed on the injuries.
ronnup Posted 17 October 2021 Posted 17 October 2021 If he's going to play well that's the position that he needs to be in for sure

This is just Ayoze and has nothing to do with Rogers, who has actually improved him from what I've seen. Perez was exactly like this at Newcastle, exciting young prospect bought for pennies under Pardew and stagnated under Rafa. My mates a life long Toon fan. Firstly he laughed at the transfer fee and then his summary was he'll have you banging your head against a wall! 3 weeks he will look superb and then vanish for the next 3, so he was pretty much spot on. I suspect our scouting signed him to get that consistently out of him, which is hopefully coming now.. clearly a very talented player although certainly won't help if we boo him unless we think that's what turned Kelechis form around!! Long may this run continue, I'm a fan if his contributions and when on form he's a cracking player.
Webbo Posted 17 October 2021 Posted 17 October 2021 Are we giving him 3 assists? For Soyunchu goal the ball got tangled in his feet and just rolled to Cags.
