Perez aint so bad, however, I think of the manner of that miss every time I see him. Like a mate who shagged your Mrs, never goes away. We could have gifted Kane 10 goals and still qualified to be slaughtered in the champions league this year. Maybe he did us a favour afterall? Thats what my mate allways tells me anyway.
iancognito Posted 15 March 2022 Posted 15 March 2022 We were on about this at the Rennes game. Perez was a regular for Rodgers for 2 years probably up to about October or November then suddenly he's not even getting on from the bench. I don't think he's as terrible a player as some on here do, there's been plenty of times where him getting a foot in or winning a ball back has started an attacking move for us. But it's just weird how he's gone from being a manager's favourite to a Spanish Vestergaard. I get the impression Rodgers would rather play anyone else or change formation just to avoid him coming on. Pretty sure we could rob £10M off Fulham for him if they get up. 1

Brendan enjoys tormenting Top or thinking oh his 1st years wages at Newcastle paid for in one? Keep him on the bench when for his last final games before triggering the clause and use him scarcely. If there was one game left then fair enough, he shouldn't be on the bench.
Vazman Posted 15 March 2022 Posted 15 March 2022 I wonder if he will be around to organise the players Christmas Party 2022, I hope not, I'm sure he is a decent lad who has played a part but not value for money.
Sly Posted 15 March 2022 Posted 15 March 2022 Played the first couple of games of the season, red card against West Ham and that’s been it basically. 1
OhYesNdidi Posted 15 March 2022 Posted 15 March 2022 Useless but Brendon would always play him. Since getting sent off vs West Ham he’s not had a sniff

It wouldn’t be something your manager would phase you out for doing! 3
Popular Post Gevans_97 Posted 14 April 2022 Popular Post Posted 14 April 2022 Credit where credit is due tonight. Changed the game and fantastic assist. Well done Ayo. 17
Blue ROI Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 Didn't think we'd have this as a hot topic tonight. Well in Perez. 1
Lambert09 Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 (edited) sir, you have earnt your move to Newcastle and you have my blessing Edited 14 April 2022 by Lambert09 1 1
moseeds Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 He's so strange. Terrible as a regular, but he's had a huge hand in some astonishing moments - the 9-0, the FA Cup win, and now tonight's historic win in Eindhoven. What an odd man. 2
majaco Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 But he's normally rubbish. When Rodgers brought him on, I thought we'd had it. But it was inspired.
Bourbon Fox Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 (edited) No way I would have predicted that. Such an odd player - peaks, troughs, long periods of rubbish and then he pulls 45 minutes like that out Edited 14 April 2022 by Bourbon Fox

foxfanazer Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 His moment changed things completely. Great intelligence amd craft from the lad! 2
daddylonglegs Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 He was consistently given chances despite being useless so I don’t necessarily feel for him too much this year. Really clever skill for the goal mind you.
phoneticerror Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 He’s had some stinkers, but he’s deserved a bit of forgiveness tonight
Lionator Posted 14 April 2022 Posted 14 April 2022 Amazing despite his lack of contributions, his major contributions are linked to the most momentous in our history.

But that role is most useful when we don't have a CDM. I don't see a lot of those games next season. Glad he did well tonight; don't expect him in a Leicester shirt next year. 2
