Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 21 September 2019 Popular Post Posted 21 September 2019 (edited) He was fantastic today! Unlucky to have a goal ruled out, won basically everything and the real plus for me - his distribution was superb. He didn’t screw up the fast short passes and was pinging it around to build attacks. Honestly if he can do that every week he would be in the conversation for a true heir to Kante’s throne. In this system he basically has to do the work of two people and somehow he manages it. And to top it all off he’s a really nice guy too! Love players like this. Take a bow son! Edited 21 September 2019 by StriderHiryu 18 2
blueharmie Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 (edited) Agree. I think the fact that Maddison was so good he good overlooked but he had a great game today. Edited 21 September 2019 by blueharmie
WarehamFox Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 All Glen Hoddle could say is, he has to be closer to one of spurs midfielders. 1

foxfanazer Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 My man of the match also. Monster in the centre of the park today
Harry96 Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 Unreal performance, he’s had a good start to the season, long may it continue. 1
murphy Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 Love Wilf. One of my favourite players. Great attitude. You can forgive players a lot of things when they show courage and heart Which WIlf has in spades. Warrior.
Tielemans63 Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 Absolutely brilliant performance. He's the key man really as his workrate in midfield allowed us to play a more attack-minded formation. He did the job of two DMs today. 1
cal21212121 Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 Cracking celebration for maddisons goal
Foxxed Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 His passing and possession is much improved all of a sudden and the whole team is benefiting. 2
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 (edited) Loved the bit where he beat a Spurs player with a nice bit of skill, then trod on the ball and lost it, then just ran back and won it back. Edited 21 September 2019 by SouthStandUpperTier 1
Hollyfox Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 Wilfred was motm for me. Without his battling and winning a lot of 50/50s I don't think we'd have won. Class player💙 1
StanSP Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 One of the best players so far, especially in terms of consistency. Feel like he's developed a serious amount this year, and we're beginning to see the rewards of it this season so far. 1
Clever Fox Posted 21 September 2019 Posted 21 September 2019 He was immense today. It seemed like he preferred to be in there on his own as he doesn't have to worry about anyone else. He jusr gets on with it and the ground he covers. Gave Lamela a little too much space first half but BR sorted that out at HT. Unfortunate his Goals didn't stand because he deserved it.
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 26 October 2019 Author Popular Post Posted 26 October 2019 The attackers will get the credit tonight, but Wilfred Ndidi absolutely bossed it! 7 tackles tonight despite Southampton never having the ball (Ricardo had 6). And did you see some of his passes? Someone has been going to the Andrea Pirlo school of long passing it seems. The improvement in this player is insane. He's IMO in the conversation for best CDM in the league. Kante no longer plays that position (he is now more box to box) so only Fabinho for me is currently better. 5

He had a rough patch last year but he's come out the other side of that a much better player. Whilst Ricardo, Maddison and Söyüncü have been standouts this season, Wilf has probably been the pick of the bunch. As you say, the ability to pick a pass has improved massively but even the tackles he's winning now, he's taking the ball with him. I used to find his stats misleading in that sense but he's so much more commited in the tackle and it's paying off. The boy is pretty special.

And also Strider; Kante has never been a Holding midfielder! The tactics oracle should know better!

lcfc sheff Posted 26 October 2019 Posted 26 October 2019 Makes no mistakes in possession now, also loves a little Ronaldinho-esque flick a few times a game which shows his confidence is high.
