Blue ROI Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Players don't have much of a break from the 40 weeks or so of a season. Can't blame some of them for having a few days of the good life when its there. Besides he has some bit of privacy going to Dubai. Players like Maddison can't have it that easy walking down the street of some UK city with the fans or press getting in the way. As long as he comes back raring to go which on evidence so far suggests he should then there's no problem.

I personally wouldn't ever bother anyone well known in the street if i saw them out shopping with their family or who ever and i think anyone that would is a bit weird. I know it happens, i just dont know why.

Handy too if you want to just get away from it all. Maddison is in the running for an England call up so might not have much of a summer break either. Make the most of the time off.

CollinsLCFC Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Only issue I have is that i'm jealous im not in that position. You only live once; he is now a millionaire early twenties being able to live a lavish lifestyle, being paid extroadinary amounts to do what he loves for a living. As long as he turns up for training, fit and is fully focused on football when he returns, who gives a s***.

In the summer, go and do whatever you want. Spend your money, party hard and hang out with whoever you want to. But when we think about why this winter break exists, it’s because footballers supposedly need a rest to recuperate. And it doesn’t look like he’s living like an athlete right now. I appreciate that The Sun is gutter press and will always sensationalise but there has to be something there for them to build on. When the likes of Grealish and Alli are being held up as the “well they’re doing it too” then it’s not the finest company to be in in terms of the living-like-a-pro mentality. If we were talking about the likes of Kane and Milner doing this then it would be a different story, but it always seems a certain type that put themselves in a position to be the story. If you asked Brendan what he’d ideally have liked to see his players doing this week then I’m sure it wouldn’t have entailed partying and been more so about resting up, getting some sun and sticking to the kind of diet they’d be on at any other time during the season. Foolish to have put himself in a position to be this headline. He was already a marked man following the casino story, scrutiny on his form will now be ten-fold and there’ll be a decision next year by clubs: give the players time to do as they please or take the Man United approach of a week of warm weather training. I wonder how you see our gaffer and a rich, young, good looking footballer? C'mon it could all end tomorrow, the lads enjoying his LIFE! What's the point of earning great money and being fit and young if you're gonna live like a monk (or a nun)! My time again? I'd do as close to what madders is doing as my finances would allow and truth be told so would 98% of blokes!
Realjimbo Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Back aways a certain flamboyant city No9 with a Yorkshire accent was putting it about left, right and centre... Nobody cared cos he was brilliant to watch. We sometimes forget that sports stars are multi facetted humans like everyone else not robots solely dedicated to football- that way lies madness! They may love the game but it isn't and should never be their whole life. Like everything it's a balance and the idea of a mid winter break is for players and staff to recharge physically AND mentally. Madders does it his way - lucky sod- others do it theirs but most here don't give a tuppenny toss if he keeps playing the same way. Rather like that brilliant No9.

Le Renard Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Usual Scum sting with Madders and a model (not the catwalk kind) shocker! Just by coincidence a photographer was there to capture these moments. Who cares as long as he does his best performing on the picth!!!

dynamark Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Frank was a one off .George Best would struggle to keep up and everyone loved his antics because he did the business on the pitch as well.
goody2028 Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Why not especially if the rumours of a new £130,000 a week contract are true. What else would you do with £130k at 22, given a week to do anything you want. As long as he knuckles back down this week, which I’m sure they all will do, no harm done.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 At least he wasn't having a racist orgy or getting thrown into a Spanish prison. How far we've come!
tylesta Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Wow some people must have shitty boring holidays
biggs Posted 11 February 2020 Posted 11 February 2020 Wonder if he scored a screamer and up for goal of the week

That did make me think...has she been paid by the Sun to go over there(considering their is a fairly professionally took photo in the same clothes in the back of a car)? 9

Foxes1 Posted 12 February 2020 Posted 12 February 2020 Looks like he and his mate Grealish are going to Man Ure in the summer according to the Daily Fail 160 million. Not a bad price for Madders (115 million) considering Grealsih has a 45 million release clause
