This isn't the SPL where Celtic just went out and bought Dundee United's best players in January one year when they were threatening.

We're a credible top 4 contender and we will not be selling our players under any circumstances. Why would they want to leave?

Sky just rolling out their bi annual transfer window merry go round. They're beyond parody these days and best avoided and ignored.

But we are now firmly established in the "Big 4"

Surely we should be linked with the better players of minnows like Arsenal, Man Utd & Spurs.

Nobody will go in January if we don't want them to. Our own profile is being raised and the people we can attract will reflect it. Mads, youri, Ricardo and even brendon we are on the up .

I take it as a compliment......

Lets be honest a few years back we were losing players to the likes of Wolves, WBA, Sheff Utd etc

and Barnsley FFS! :frusty:

typical Pep really - spent his January a couple of years ago unsettling Mahrez, who's performances tanked as a result (when he did show up that is), now doing the same with Cags and Evans.

He must be pretty worried about finishing below us!

This type of speculation pisses me off. How can it be right that clubs through the media can destabilize our bid for the title again.

Clubs should not be allowed to comment on other Club's players during the course of the season.

It's time the league or FA acted.

When we don't sell..

Merson....Murphy..Then Sunday-Supplement panels, will go in such a meltdown!! Their studio seats will turn into a China-syndrom incident...

This was bound to happen, the media can’t accept that we should be able to keep our best players, we’re on the up and can’t imagine any of our players leaving in January (the ones we want to keep anyway) the media are utter bores, stuck up the bottoms of the so called “big six” stirring up the 💩 for a cheap storyline

Radio 5Live last night were praising Chilwell as MOTM one minute

:brendan_still:

Then suggesting he will be on his way to Man City in the window, the next.

So...

2nd in the league.

Best defence.

2nd best attack.

Billionaire owner.

World record fee received for our 3rd choice CB.

5th highest for profit wasn't it?

What Universe do people still live in where they think Leicester can be ripped apart so easily in this current day and age?

What Universe do City fans live in where they think nobody will be interested in our players?

Astonishing how troubled Man City look at the back despite their resources and money already spent.

I  thought Pep was the  Messiah.

At least that's how he's portrayed by the Media.

Never said they wouldn't be interested. That's part and parcel of the game.

But just because others are interested and covet, doesn't mean we have to sell despite the constant media desire to rip to shreds this team for the supposed 'bigger' clubs.

Surely we should be used to this by now, no club in world football is immune to this type of speculation for their players so no point getting annoyed by it.

I think that's the insecurities of being a historically smaller club.

The bigger clubs have larger number of supporters. They all want to hear that they're going to be signing the current best players in the world. Right now we have some of the current best players in the world and so the media are writing stories to pander to those fans.
