'Daniel Levy enquired about taking Brendan Rodgers from Leicester'

I actually wouldn't be surprised if they did make a call. However having paid nearly 9 million in compo to celtic you got to reckon there's a figure closer to 3 times that written somewhere in Brendan's contract and that is well to rich for Levy to cough up.

I think Leicester supporters should give Rodgers and LCFC a bit more credit. Won the league a few years ago against all odds, playing great football, great squad with a bright future, second in the table.

Spurs is not some dream job, especially now. Not like we're talking about Madrid here.

The last time Spurs won a trophy was the league cup in 2008. The time before that will be familiar to us as it was against us in the final in 1999. They aren't a big enough club to take managers or players off us as we are at least equal to Spurs in terms of club size now, that much is clear. You can't realistically claim to be a big club when you haven't won a league title since 1961. We're outgrowing these and we're doing it fast. All this appointment does is show how far Mourinho's reputation has fallen to take that job.

I doubt Brendan would want to work for Levy. Why would you swap working with the best owner in the Prem for working with one of the worst?

Mourinho/ Levy looks like a doomed partnership from the outset imho.

they were champions league finalists last year.

They are a bigger club than us, lets not pretend otherwise.

We are in a purple patch right now but unless we start finishing top 6 regularly we remain a mid sized PL club, and thats fine with me.

I’m not surprised Levy enquired about taking Rodgers from us.

I hope Levy isn't banking on building a squad for the future with Jose long term. Not going to happen.

Probably just looking to avoid relegation this season

I'm pretty sure the writers in the LM don't care one jot about Leicester City.

They dont seem to be in touch with the club. Or, has the club boycotted them!?. The trash thats hitting Leicestershire Live isnt even news. Foxestalk boycott needs to be put in place.

I have made the decision not to read anything they now publish, please all follow suit.

Come to Spurs... where we have no atmopshere, no money, sitting in the bottom half, a dusty trophy cabinet but we do have a new stadium! with a built in brewery! :appl:Sound appealing Brendan?

If they were seriously interested and Rodgers the absolute number one choice, they'd have really tried to get him. I don't think it was ever that close.

Just need Arsenal to replace Emery with someone, Pochettino to go to Man United and any Rodgers talk will finish for a while.

Oh and did I mention the shite and / or unmotivated squad where the better players want out ASAP and the ones who aren’t anywhere near as good as they think they are will plot against you and treat you with contempt . So we’re good then yeah?

I think you have to also factor in Mourinho's potential wobbly relationship with his players. It will be interesting to see how the likes of Lloris, Kane, Alli and Dier react when Mourinho starts calling them out when things don't go his way.

We won the league against all odds. Please stop pretending the option of managing a top london club as a multi millionaire over managing Leicester and living up old john is a choice.

Spurs have done us a huge favour by appointing a dated manager. But had levy but the 30 million compo on the table. Don't be blinded that Rodgers who has no connection to us wouldn't have at least been tempted to consider the job. The guy left a huge club for us. The man is ambitious.
