We're going to find it very tough to beat off interest from Arsenal and Dortmund,

On the plus side though if we have made an offer then he's obviously interested and Soyuncu being here is obviously appealing as a friend and a chance to develop their understanding at international level as well. Maybe Demiral thinks Soyuncu really compliments his game and a move here is very appealing for that reason?

Why would Juventus agree to loan him out when they are turning down big bids from us and Dortmund? This isnt a Tielemans type case, as Monaco was ready ro move him on. But Juve aren't exactly keen to sell Demiral. Its him who wants out.

Juve probably see him and De Ligt as being their two centre halves for a decade.

Letting him go on loan for 6 months would probably be beneficial for his development.

Make sure we actually get an option to buy in this one if we pull it off

There is a reason juve might be interested in dealing with us - we do have an asset they are keen on (at the end of the season .)........

It's a bit different coaching a 36 year old to coaching a 21 year old.

Ok, Fair enough, but my point stands, it's not like Rodgers has a magic wand that he can wave to make every player good on the ball. Buying a player to put into a system where they have a systematic weakness and then banking on the coach ironing it out seems a bit risky.

Give the £40m option, following a loan to us

I agree... best situation we can be in.. he already knows how to play with soyuncu.... and Evans can adjust and  play with anyone.

Everyone knows London is a lawless wasteland these days , images of players being attached went all over globe and their houses being attached since , suddenly lots of players coming to UK are happy to look outside london !

Looks a proper tough nut defender, real old fashioned

Looks a good cb and very similar style to soyuncu, would be interesting to see how they play together at cb for their country, as they are both aggressive in pressing tackles, who is the better at being a covering defender like Johnny Evans?

I don't see it happening; Cags and Evans are clearly first choice and I can't see us opting for three at the back. Evans isn't a spring chicken but has another 2 seasons left in him as a starting player. It doesn't make sense for Demiral to leave Juve because he isn't playing to play sporadically for us. We're not paying c. £40m for a centre back when we have 2 outstanding ones already. Obviously we need depth but he isn't a depth signing at all.
