RowlattsFox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 I think I underestimated how shite West ham were. Great win for morale in the squad, can forget the last couple of games now. Evans outstanding, Hamza good, Mendy tidy as always. Perez pretty shit but made both goals.
Farrington fox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Brilliant win. Justin hamza and evans the standouts for me, not taking anything away from any of em.
iniesta Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Great win for us. It is a squad game after all. Nothing to be ashamed of losing to man City and Liverpool. I really worry for some on here. Embarrassing, petulant and possibly unwell.
M0901 Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 A second eleven with wholesale changes getting the job done. Says a lot about our squad! Fantastic result.
Scotch Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Fair play. I didn't give us much of a chance when I saw the team sheet but we got away with it and managed to rest some players too. It worked out but was a huge call from BR.
adam Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Great performance from the 2nd string. Fair play to brendan. I hold my hands up. I thought we would get beat there. West ham absolute filth.
Dahnsouff Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Important win, and I do wonder if that would have been possible with the Man City and Liverpool 11’s

You only have to look at so many past cup games where mass changes made is play woefully. My biggest concern pre-match was the midfield. The defence had enough experience plus Justin's promise to be effective, the front four have the ability to work together but wasn't sure how the midfield were going to work yet it seems both put in excellent displays. It was a much weaker team but still plenty of experience and ability in there- just needed to see how it went.
MC Prussian Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Fresh legs and a fresh mind. Played better football in a game between two B sides. Could've, should've won by more. Albrighton very tidy in the first half, second half we bossed it for most part. Great finish by Gray, never thought I'd see him score again. Make no mistake, though. West Ham are an appalling side under Pellegrini. A collection of journeymen playing away in every home game. Happy we managed to get back to winning ways. This should do team morale the world of good. Rodgers is a genius.
TheSomersetFox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Hamza, Justin, Mendy, Gray, Evans, Nacho all superb for me. Buzzing. So much humble pie needs to be eaten by a lot of our fans after that. Utter bellends

The point is he's more qualified to judge it than the FT gurus on here that have once again embarrassed themselves
ScouseFox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 we played really well tbf. the front four looked very good at times which was weird. mendy and hamza did really well. justin was our best player i think. they are diabolical. well, justin was our best second choice player. obviously evans was the best player on the pitch by miles. and kasper was rubbish.

Great result! Back to winning ways. Fuchs needs to start over Chilly in the next game. Maybe even Justin on that side? Choudhury needs to start also.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 dont think it was a wise selection, more to do with the fact that west ham team was awful. Everyone did well though, made up for Gray
PaddyS Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Brilliant result, and huge credit to the lads who have played so little this season. Great performance by Justin who I was a bit concerned about before the game, but he looked really confident at times. Gives us another option now as he can link up with Ricardo further forward.
Guest An Sionnach Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Hamza , Hamza , Hamza , if we do not use him we will lose him.
Hollyfox Posted 28 December 2019 Posted 28 December 2019 Vardy’s have a new arrival Leicester win Spurs fall further behind Good day all round
