Fox_in_a_Box Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 The fact they were stretching his leg and he came back on suggest it wasnt too serious. No way they are stretching his leg if they fear his hamstring has gone. Fingers crossed. Get in the cryo lad.

Can never be too careful with a hamstring though so don’t want to rush back if not 100% fit when Nacho is in good form. Agree..No Need to push it..But lets First see what the Medical Team have to say..!!
walkerleeds Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 How long does a 'glute' injury keep you out for then roughly?
Tuna Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 I've every confidence in Iheanacho should Vardy need to sit out a few games.
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 Brendan Rodgers: "Vardy's injury wasn't his hamstring. It was just part of his glute and I don't think he will be out for too long. It isn't serious".
RowlattsFox Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 Probably wouldn't have played at weekend anyway but will be good if we can at least get him on the bench for villa.
trabuch Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 It was my worst fear - until Nacho decided to come good. Vardy (who, by the way is my all time favourite footballer) has not been at his best lately, and I think Nacho is a more than adequate replacement. It will be interesting to see how him and Perez do together whilst Vardy is injured.

Bezzanator89 Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 You will not see Vardy in the lineup this weekend, sure Iheanacho will be a more than capable stand-in his absence. I was convinced it was his hamstring, given it is quite a common injury amongst the chaotic fixture schedule. Get better soon Vards! *removes Jamie Vardy from his Fantasy Football team*

ARTY_FOX Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 Seems like he's ok. Not worried in the slightest. All the faith in the world on Iheanacho
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 Worst fear? We've coped without him, whereas our games without Ndidi have been difficult to say the least. But Wilf's back, Vardy has a minor injury and we can probably rest him at the weekend. Chill.

stripeyfox Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 I think he may have shat himself when volleying the ball away. That's why he was clutching his arse.
peach0000 Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 We’ll be fine. We’ve coped without him fine on occasions this season and expect us to carry on doing so.

Perez looked decent too, some lovely touches and very tidy finish for the second. Agreed completely about Nacho. Whilst the injury is cause for concern its not the cataclysmic blow given KI's turnaround.

urban fox Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 Surely the amount of strain injuries over the last couple of weeks has to be connected to the schedule over the xmas period. I have been the first to say that these are athletes and should be fit enough to perform twice a week. However, the harder you work your body the more likely this type of injury will occur and minor knocks and tweaks do not get enough recovery time and so things start to compound. Maybe it is time to rethink winter breaks. Part of the problem is the number of international breaks which squeezes the available time for the league and cup fixtures and hence why we now get this build up of fixtures
Stevosevic Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 Confident in Nacho. He's looking very sharp, quicker and up for it.
GingerrrFox Posted 22 January 2020 Posted 22 January 2020 Ian starts on Saturday and Hirst on the bench?
