That was Brentford’s last FA cup tie at that ground, they’re moving grounds you see.

I did not know that!

Making all these changes affects how we play, Brentford are clearly very well coached beyond their first team and made it difficult, we probably should've wrapped it up before half-time.

But little drama really apart from the cross that hit the post. Fuchs was excellent, Praet in the first half ran the game, Iheanacho with another good display, others not so great.

Rested a lot of important people and got through.

True that, I feel very refreshed from not caring about the match knowing we would not play for a replay.

Did enough, and that was all we needed to do.

I’m going to credit Rodgers today with clever tactics, we did the job in the first half and had we needed more goals we could have got them. Second half we sat off a bit, didn’t go chasing the ball all over the pitch like mad men and relied on our defensive strength to keep them at bay, and it worked.

Busy schedule coming up and we need as many lads as fit as possible, no one come off that pitch too knackered and we are ready to go again.

They did alright, troubled us a few times but we held them at arms length for most of it. Well done lads.

Did a job without having to use most of the usual starting 11. Wasn't pretty but the fact that we beat Brentford without too much real exertion was so important in preserving our squad a little. Only natural to have an eye fixated on our semi final in a few days.
