Aus Fox Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Also Kasper, Riccardo, Evans, Chilwell, Tielemans, Barnes and Vardy all with the afternoon off ahead of a big game on Tuesday. We got the result!
StanSP Posted 25 January 2020 Author Posted 25 January 2020 Nacho naturally seems happier since Rodgers is here. Not as closed off or 'miserable' even in post match interviews etc. Love this new signing
oxtonfox Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Glad Fuchs got man of the match. He is superb in those situations when panic was beginning to set in.
Deeg67 Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 A win is a win. Nobody injured and most of the A-team rested for bigger things ahead. Ugly days can be good days too.
oadby.fox Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 I’ve heard so many variations on the pronunciation of Iheanacho in the past few days, Linekar seems to pronounce it differently on every occasion! Iheanachy?
mabrah Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Not pretty but it'll do.We didn't really click, never really got going but didn't really need to either. Only the result counts. Brentford worked hard and can count themselves unlucky. On a different day perhaps.
Corky Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Kavanagh was wretched as usual, so many soft free-kicks and giving that corner when Sian Massey (who made a great decision for the disallowed goal) clearly said it wasn't. Some odd advantages too. Let the game flow.
Tanya Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Nacho was brilliant, while Praet was pretty good. Back four solid, Fuchs in particular did a job for us. Such a canny operator. Hamza was good in the first bit sloppy in the second. Ward's reaction save was top draw. Perez was poor - he needs good players around him to flourish. I hate to say it but Marc is done. He has looked poor the last few games. Gray is his usual boring self. All fizz no substance. We should be looking for two wingers and shipping those two out in the summer. Dire performance but we are through which is all that matters.
Tuna Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Terrible second half and were clinging on a bit towards the end. Should have been out of sight in the first half. We're through and that's what's important.
twister Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Brentford must have the best scouts in the country to produce so many decent players for a b team. I think it was a professional performence second half Fuchs what a bloke what a man, he will wont to gback to america but any chance of his staying ahs to be welcomed for his leadership.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Dean Smith big head or narrow shoulders?
kingfox Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Job done but that second half was a difficult watch. If Brentford had better quality in the final third, then we could have been looking at an upset. Fuchs, Praet and Iheanacho were excellent. Gray can go elsewhere, not good enough.
lgfualol Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Thwt was horrendous but at lwast we are through
RonnieTodger Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Dreadful second half after a promising first. Glad to be through but I can’t be arsed with Gray anymore. Got to say I think we should move on from Albrighton too.
lcfcdotell Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 I can’t quite put into words how bad that second half was 🤣 oh well haha Albrighton and Gray...🤢🤢
Matt Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Job done, we did enough, about all I can say, onwards we go.
Beliall Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Decent game, better result, no long ago we would have easily lost that. on we go
Lowestoft Fox Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Fuchs defo motm . Gray looked dreadful in my opinion it's a shame as think he has so much potential but just not for me . Job done tho next round here we come
Aus Fox Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Credit to Rodgers for bringing on Dewsbury-Hall when he did. It would have been easy to go for one of the more experienced players at that stage.
Guest An Sionnach Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 A sound performance against a good team , great save from Ward but should not have been a corner. Only downside for me is Demari Gray for the life of me I just don't what his role is.
sishades Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 Pleased with the win but that was so painful to watch, I dont recall a single shot on their goal in the second half. The midfield was on a beach they were that poor. Anyway onto the next round.
fuchsntf Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 5 minutes ago, Mark 'expert' Lawrenson said: Will someone get Nachos name correct please Even I can do that..!! I am applying for a job at the BBC.....high on the medi,my commentary would be Brill...
orangecity23 Posted 25 January 2020 Posted 25 January 2020 For christ's sake BBC. Ooh, if Leicester hadn't scored early, if Brentford had converted one of these chance, if, if, if ... Give it up Beeb. You wanted your giant killing, you didn't get it. Wrap Jenas up in his children's size Spurs coat and scarf and take him home, it's over, you lost.
