Corona Virus

Message added by Mark

No political discussion in this topic. That is complaining about a country, a politician, a party and/or its voters, etc

Radio Leicester just said that Melton Mowbray is jammed up as people queue for McDonald's before it closes later! You couldn't make it up.

If we manage to survive this virus, I really despair for the future of this country as obviously most people are completely brain dead.

I'm glad i am old & won't be around to see it

If sorting cover for self employed people is "operationally difficult" and I imagine it would be, why not just increase SSP to UK avg wage for the duration of this crisis?

Seems a simple solution to a complicated problem.

Edit: ah wait. Self employed can't claim it.

Well that sucks.

It's a 4.4 mile walk to the tube which I do (takes me about an hour and 15 minutes) but the last part goes under the Clyde so no choice but to get tube.  Either that or get bus or train but this current method minimises public transport.

A bike, perhaps an electric one?

The problem is not so much the auctions themselves, they can easily be managed online.  I never go in person anyway.

The problem is viewing.  Each item is literally handled by hundreds of people.  Ideal for spreading the virus.

From what I’ve read handling something that has virus on it will not infect you. The problem only arises if your virus infected hands then touch your face. Perhaps disciplined use of sanitiser would keep things safe.

PS. Not qualified to hand out medical advice,, so do your own research.

The way the police officer handled that situation was appalling

Love the way the BBC covered the story and just referred to Tommy as a man Passing by.The guy won a major award in the Danish Parliament a couple of months ago and guess what the BBC and all MSM totally ignored it

Yeah this home schooling lark ain't gonna last 12 weeks.

We're 5 hours in and I'm this close to murdering at least one of my kids.

Who'd be a teacher? You have my upmost respect.

In our house, lessons started at 9.00.  At 9.15 our eldest (11) was begging to go back to school tomorrow lol

Gonna be a long, hard slog!

Peak FT. We're discussing a worldwide pandemic and people want to turn into a thread worshiping a racist criminal.

Look Robinson is a ****, you're daft for thinking he's a god, now can we get back to talking about the real issues at hand.

I'll be amazed if there isn't some teeth gnashing over this post, despite it being the most sensible thing I've heard today.

Have you thought about this kind of stuff. Not the only source but he has a good educational reputation. It is all primary. Cheaper stuff is home learning more expensive is for teachers.

Email your kids teacher and let know. They'll almost certainly be working right now.

Tough job but rewarding.

A month ago that would have been antisocial behaviour.  Now it could be attempted murder.  I'd like to see them arrested and charged.

Id wager most children are alot better behaved at school.

My daughter for example is good as gold in school but a nightmare at home.
