To be fair we all knew (based on the games we watched in the last few days) that pretty much everyone was going to be rusty and there was no way we would be watching nice fluid flowing footie.

 

Its been ok, i'm happy we are back, but hopefully BR has words at half time as we really do need to do better. 

 

Seen a few nice little performances & Its not been horrible but there is bags of room for improvement.

Too slow with everything and noone taking a chance to run at them. They are defending deep though when we have the ball so making it difficult, we're easy to play against.

Started okay and I expected us to improve which didn’t happen. In all honesty we are fortunate to be 0-0. This is where Brendan earns his big bucks

It's not been that bad. We settled quicker and perhaps some players look sharper than others. The drinks break came at the wrong time as we looked a bit livelier than them. 

 

Think we can still win it. Just need to be a bit more precise on the ball and more assured. 

 

Think Vardy is getting isolated cos of their behind the ball tactics when we attack. Iheanacho on would be good. Get Barnes more on the ball too.

Chilwell and Barnes doesn't work they both get in each others way. Albrighton is nowhere near as effect on the right as he is on the left, been saying that for years.

Since the drinks break Watford have been the better team.

 

It's easy to be harsh but you've got to remember that no one out there is match fit or sharp yet, that goes for either team. Our basic idea and style of football is there, but we aren't playing it that quickly or moving about as fast as when we are at our best. Unsurprisingly we look lethargic and some players already look like they are blowing steam and done for the day.

 

JJ and Chilwell look decent going forwards for me, Albrighton too. Tielemans looks knackered already though!

 

Could easily be a 0-0 or even a loss, but you need games to get back into your stride. This performance reminds me of the very first game of the season against Wolves when we were also pretty poor. I think we've been better than in that game, but clearly way off 100% sharpness for obvious reasons.

Not so bad! A bit sloppy but nothing too terrible. Justin was good. Maddison got very much stuck in, best player so far imo alongside Evans. A few players off the pace but no big tragedy so far. Let's see if we can get into the groove a bit better now. Watford cannot keep that press up for too long.
