Genuine question, have we ever (in the last few years) won a game with two defensive mids? *

*without changing it

Don't wanna be harsh but what does Mendy actually offer as a player?

Shouldn’t be playing alongside Ndidi

Rather see choudary for defensive reasons and praet for attacking

I appreciate Justin's back-post Danny Simpson impersonation ... but would like to see less of it.

I can only imagine it's to cater for the extra midfielder Brighton play.

Showing Brighton far too much respect that imo.  Playing a team like Brighton at home he should be setting up to be on the front foot and win the game.

Good for seeing out a game, no confidence in him playing the Ndidi role, even less partnering him.

Chelsea away and Man City at home 21st Decem and Boxing Day? Didn't we play Ndidi and Hamza (if you class him as a DM) with a 3rd midfielder infront of them?

I think he belongs in a possession team to keep the ball moving. The only issue is this would be fine if we could conjure up any sort of goal scoring chance but we cant so he or Ndidi need subbed.
