Nacho's time to shine up top on his own. Vardy looks like he is going through something, maybe being benched for a bit will snap him out of it and if his legs are going bringing him on vs tired defences would probably work better.

His problem is he’s not collecting the ball and running at defences with the ball, he used to do that a lot. He just lays it off which gives the opposition time to get back. He’s basically nullifying himself.

He only needs to touch it as long as the next touch of the ball is the back of the net and he’s not doing that.

Vardy isn't playing well but the safety first approach will leave any striker alone right now.

Agree to some extent but he often lays it off because if he runs with it he gets hounded out because he has no support with him. It's a problem with the system as much as it is with him and his own form.

If he scores, then great, but when he doesn’t it’s like playing with 10 men and he also doesn’t move backwards, he can’t play that way, so if he isn’t scoring drop him. Yes he is a legend but sometimes you need to drop players, I was waiting to see who’s fault it was that he was shit tonight, normally it’s always someone’s fault 🤣

Have a look at how any possession based Center forward plays, then watch Vardy, you will see it’s the forward that creates the space

Iheanacho showed that you can still be involved even you're playing against a deep defensive line. It's not Vardy's game I know, but so many times Chilwell didn't have an option and Vardy nowhere to be seen. Probably instruction, but no attempts to change style and tends to hide and mark himself almost. 

 

Absolute legend, and it's not all his fault as he isn't getting any good service but no point playing him from the start currently.
