To be honest, it's a lot of money for any CB even in 2020. It's important you go and read what the Juventus fans say about him because he's pretty much universally pegged as shit by them. He was the next big thing when he was 20 and he's just not developed, like a defensive Demarai Gray. Looks tall and wins a few headers and has a fair bit of pace for a cb. But I understand it’s a highlights video. this is the type of guy we normally get who has a big point to prove and does well for us but £25mill will come with some pressure on him to perform! I would be excited if it was a backup signing at a lot less money! if the £25m fee is to believed I can’t help get wound up thinking Juve are right cheeky feckers!! Is he an upgrade on vestergard and bennett, probably, is he going to push JE and CS for a spot... almost certainly not. No matter how well he plays, he'll always be compared to the likes of Chiellini, Bonnuci, Barzagli, Thuram, Cannavarro etc. But if we're after a reserve defender from Juve, I really hope it's Demiral.
