Popular Post Bert Posted 25 September 2020 Popular Post Posted 25 September 2020 Smokescreen to get Fofana 2 5
jeffschlupp Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 David Sullivan basically said on Talksport the other day they're asking for £40m. An offer of greater than £30m surely gets done at some sort of ~£35m compromise. Would be a club record deal you would think. 1
foxes_rule1978 Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 Happy with this, think he is a very good player, hopefully we can get an offer accepted here
Stevosevic Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 He'll have to force it. They don't want to sell. 1
NasPb Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 40 million is too much. Would prefer tah or fofana given they'd cost less. If we can't get Fofana go for tah. 1 1
KFS Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 Funny how everyone’s changed their tune in the context of the Fofana deal
peach0000 Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 Much safer option than Fofana. Would be more than happy with this.
He's_Magic Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 Reinvest half the Maguire money to get a player who is just as capable. Fine by me.
moore_94 Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 The article: Brendan Rodgers has made a bid worth over £30 million for James Tarkowski, the Burnley centre-half. Leicester have already had one offer turned down for the England international this month and are returning with a second proposal which they hope will persuade Burnley into agreeing a deal. Rodgers, the Leicester manager, has identified a new centre-back as a priority in this transfer window and Tarkowski, 28, has been a long-term target for the club. Leicester are operating under a restricted budget but have made a significant offer for Tarkowski, due to the pressing need for defensive reinforcements. Burnley are demanding the £50m fee written into Tarkowski’s contract yet Leicester are hopeful of striking a compromise due to the severe impact of Covid-19 on football's finances. It is understood that Tarkowski is interested in pursuing a move to the King Power Stadium. 1

Jon the Hat Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 (edited) Just get on with it now. We are ****ed if we have the first half of the season with literally two centre back and an aging legend. Edited 25 September 2020 by Jon the Hat
surrifox Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 Sign him then sign Fofana for low down payment and lend him back to St E and complete next year when Cags goes 4
Ric Flair Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 If we pay more for him than what we could get Fofana for I'll be somewhat surprised. Puel is a chopper.
dbtcity Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 28 years old that will have no sell on value doesn’t seem like the kind of move you’d see us make nowadays.... hopefully it is a smokescreen for big Wes 🙏🏻 1
Max Power Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 If the Fofana price is pushing up to £40m makes sense Tarkowski looks more palatable at maybe £35m? Plus with injuries to key players catching us out recently feels quite good to have a safe bet rather than what is a risk on a young player in Fofana. 1
Riot Van Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 Club has given this information to Percy to hurry St Etienne up 3

If he plays for a 5 year contract that is not a lot of money these days.

Jakemoore Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 I think we’re going to need to start the bidding at £40m if we’re to get this done.
Realist Guy In The Room Posted 25 September 2020 Posted 25 September 2020 Defender in his prime that needs no time to settle. This would be a great bit of business. 2
