Transfers - In The Knows

Problem with that is that Percy only publishes concrete info near to when a deal is done. People of FoxesTalk don’t want that. They love a tease. They’d much rather get obscure rumours from a nobody then follow someone’s private jet across the Atlantic with a photoshopped WhatsApp leak as bait, than wait for facts.

To be fair there are a few people other than Percy who tend to be quite accurate. My issue is I can never remember who they are lol

Maybe it would be a good idea to just have a pinned thread that lists sources in categories from excellent (Percy) to unreliable (Sean from Enderby). It would be a useful thing to be able to refer to.

A continuum of credibility....

There really is some utter crap churned out by the media. Take this for example

Thiago Alcantara has already said goodbye to his Bayern Munich team-mates as the 29-year-old Spanish midfielder eyes a move to Liverpool this summer. (Talksport)

Crikey ! He’s going to get a bit of a shock when he sees them again when taking to the pitch for the CL semi final

All these so called in the knows are full of crap.

Especially SFE think about it he has linked us to over 20 players since the curtains closed on the premier league.

6 players are meant to be close to signing a month and half ago.

Poor management and poor recruitment techniques is why we haven't signed anyone yet.

4 weeks until the season starts ???

Players should of been brought in to bond with the players before training starts anyone who thinks this isn't important is stupid its more important than pre season

There was one person on here who usually had a bit of ITK knowledge and rightly called a few transfers a few years back. Can’t remember their username now. Don’t think they post anymore.

Well that's put my mind at ease.

Ive written this up. For context all of the Leicester/Midlands related journos are named first, the rest are national or international. Most of them have offered info about us before.

Official Tier: lcfc.com / @LCFC

Tier 1 (Top reliability): John Percy (Telegraph) / David Ornstein (Athletic) / Mohamed Bouhafsi (RMC, France) / Fabrizio Romano (Sky Italia) / Christian Falk (Bild, Germany) / Henry Winter (Times) / Kristof Terreur (HLN, Belgium) / BBC Sport / Sam Wallace (Telegraph) / Jonathan Northcroft (Times)

Tier 2 (Reliable): Rob Tanner (Athletic) / Rob Dorsett (Sky) / James Nursey (Mirror) / Laurie Whitwell (Athletic) / Nick Mashiter (PA) / Stuart James (Athletic) / Dominic King (Mail) / Matt Law (Telegraph) / James Ducker (Telegraph) / Geoff Peters / Maher Mezahi (Algeria) / Rafa Honigstein (German football) / Bild / RMC / Kicker / De Telegraaf

Tier 3 (Decent): Jordan Blackwell (Mercury) / Alan Nixon (Sun) / Gianluca Di Marzio / Mike McGrath (Telegraph) / Adrian Kajumba (Mail) / James Sharpe (Mail) / Duncan Castles (Portuguese players/clubs only) / The Times / The Guardian

Tier 4 (Mostly nonsense): Ian Stringer (Radio Leicester) / Sky Sports News (except Dorsett) / ESPN / Simon Jones (Mail) / Dean Jones (BR) / TalkSport / Kaveh Solhekol

Tier 5 (shite): LCFC HQ / Sean From Enderby / IndyKaila / most FoxesTalk ITKs / Express / Sun (except Nixon) / Metro / HITC / Nicolo Schira (Italy)

Good aggregators of foreign sources: Sport Witness (translation) / GFFN (France)

Not sure if it's any help and whether it needs adding to, but I think it's a pretty accurate summary of who to trust.

Should have a tier 6 for the twitter bellends like John Harriott.

Just checked out his twitter feed and he's still peddling shit and still going about with the stock image as his picture lol
