Might be the only trophy they think they have a chance of winning. We're not bothered about a tin-pot trophy, we have bigger ambitions. :D

Considering Arteta has already won an FA Cup, I thought they'd go strongish. No Abauymang is the obvious one but that side still contains players who have played a lot in the PL.

I think it'll be closer than people are expecting tbf.

Good. I respect the League Cup alot and loved having runs in it and winning it all those years ago, but it's every season. We don't have Europe every season, correct to prioritise that.

Trust the lads to still put an effort in, a few in there will have points to prove, I'm looking at you Dimmy

If Wes and Fuchs are paired as CB's, the Arsenal front 3 will have a field day.  Where is Benkovic?

Just hope this doesn't get messy. A hammering could undermine squad confidence again, even though we have a B/C team out.

I actually think because there are so few first 11 regulars confidence won't be affected too much either way

It’s probably the team I would have picked, but I didn’t expect Arsenal to be this strong.

Even so it’s a good opportunity for some to stake a claim and I do, and always will, want us to win.

That back 4 is absolutely dire, morgan, fuchs and amartey all coming back from lengthy injuries, this is going to be a massacre but tbh i dont mind about the league cup with the fixture congestion.

Lot's of guessing as to our system. LCFC is 3-4-3. Carabao site reckons 4-1-4-1. Sky Sports went 4-1-4-1 originally and now go 4-2-3-1. Brendan must be smiling.

Yep Arsenal gone pretty strong, well they just have a better overall squad than us. I hope people remember all the "I don't care" if we're handsomely beaten.

At least noone has paid £20 for a ticket.

A few will be paying £10 for the stream though (me)

Anything other than a battering is a bonus. I just hope that this doesn't damage our league momentum.

Will have about as much relevance as Monday's U23 game, win or lose.
