With how desperate he seemed to be to come to us anyway I don't think he would've wanted a release clause which could have jeopardized the deal

To be the only natural CB playing alongside 2 stand-ins, still bedding in, without the experience of Evans to organise and marshal the backline, I've gotta say, he's really something else. Mind you, that's not to take away from the rest of the team's performance.
