Never ever play him as a wingback and there's no issue. Solid as a rock at full back.

If he was a signing he would be rated much higher, sadly there's a portion of our fanbase that immediately assumes our academy graduates arent up for the top level

Academy graduates are no fun on Football Manager. The ideal is to get as many home grown players into the squad as you can.

Had another good game today. Looks much more assured as a left back rather than a lwb and seems to have gained an extra yard of pace

Largely a rather one-sided 'partnership'.

Would like to see Barnes defend a tad bit more.

Bossed it in the second half. Made a particularly good challenge on Dennis and then immediately baited Dennis into a foul that knocked him out of the game.

We need to stick with him.  At least until Justin returns.  Thomas will still have the odd problem game but he looks.like he has matured and is ready for a run in the team to seal his development.

 

He was impressive today.
