Luke Thomas had a stunning debut vs this lot last season, I think he looked good at left back when he came on on Thursday and the state of Fuchs at the minute I'd have him in from the start.

Slimani on the bench instead of Iheanacho too please.

Sort of game where we will be pressed a lot, so not optimistic

Sort of game we'll chip a few balls from the goalkeeper and defence bang in to trouble and go 2-0 down at half time.

I think I put a curse on Fuchs a few weeks back when I said I'd offer him another year contract, he's been shit ever since! Sorry everyone, my bad.

We’re going through one of those spells where if Vardy doesn’t score you can’t see where goals will come from. We’re incapable of scoring from corners, especially, and set pieces. Also leaking goals. Can’t see anything other than a home win. Which considering they’ve only got 1 point, will be mightily embarrassing. Please let me be wrong!

I will look at the starting line up tomorrow and see if Albrighton starts. If he does, my heart will sink as that will tell me all I need to know about Rodgers approach to the game.

That’s not having a go at Albrighton. He has been a great servant for this club but he is not technically good enough to play the attacking, possession based, high line approach that we play when at our best and Rodgers will have picked him for his work rate and ability to play the long pass in to Vardy (which comes off one in ten now a days).

If Under or Pérez start on the right, we’ll know we are going out to play in the front foot. Obviously doesn’t guarantee a good performance or a win, but it will at least show a positive approach rather than the pragmatic football we’ve seen later.

Under should really be starting after his lively display on Thursday. I’d like to see him given the chance in our strongest side with the likes of Barnes, Vardy and Maddison also offering threats. Oh for a lucky shinned goal early on to take the pressure off of us and force them to play.

I think we’ll win but it’ll be an arduous watch. They’ve only scored 4 all season (although created more good chances than that tally suggests) so if we concede more than once we’re a bunch of morons that don’t deserve anything nice.

Nothing untoward,just for discussion sake....

It seems to be in our DNA, that Historically we have moments where we have periods where we are arduous to watch,

even when it seems we have upped the squads all time quality..

.I reckon that many an old hat in this forum ( or the clever but Quiet few along the terraces) have seen seasons where

we felt, knew that we are ready to step up into that next level, done well, but just not got over the gain line,

because of various frustrating Short but point draining runs...Then other many a seasons where we knew the Quality was not there, but stood in a humble balanced respect for at least the fighting spirit, that gave us that "fearless"  Banner to hang on to....

Somehow we have to see where we can continually get that Mix & marriage  Sharing the same bed

for long periods and over seasons.....

Oh your last sentence, should we cut ourselves ( The fans) and for Team ,some slack .Maybe the injuries through the back line is Cutting deeper than we are all willing to recognise and admit...

It seems to be showing we are Not quite meshing,we make small but poor mistakes, some lead to chances or goals, that

prevent us having confidence in showing our arrogant(positive) midfield-forward Front foot play...

Its even led to me having last weeks rant...

Just seen Maddisons Interview on Sky, many interesting points, on himself & team..Shows he isnt quite Match fit,to deliver the Quality he knows is expected,

and importantly the Team are Honestly  recognising they are not performing as the fans and they themselves expect. Quite telling no whining no excuses..!!

For a young footballer he comes over very well & seems honest & upfront...Also willing to put hard high  targets & aspirations for himself and saying what the Team within believe they can compete for....and what they see as failures and where they can improve..

I enjoyed the interview..didnt hide behind any standard rhetoric..!!

Tomorrow's game is such a big one in terms of keeping up with the leaders. I have no problem with who Brendan selects as long as those who are put a shift in and blunt those Blades.

Just had a look on their forum and they're a weird bunch aren't they? Always preferred Wednesday fans.

I don't like Brendan but he'll turn it around here. 2-0 Leicester

Considering we don't defend set pieces too well and Kasper doesn't claim crosses, I'd think Chris Wilder will be plotting to exploit this.

They were a mixture of hopeless and unlucky v West Brom last Saturday, and surely can't repeat that performance.

I think Evans and Little Wes will have to play extremely well for us to win this.

Just been look at their forum. Some of their fans don't like us do they. Are they still not over our 02/03 promotion deep down?

Last season was a perfect away day. One of the best of the season, and red hot too.

Due to my location I hate playing either Sheffield club but Sheffield United seem to take a dislike to us (or some of them anyway).
