Wilder was so upset about the late defeat he decided to shit in the technical box in protest.

1st half pretty good mostly around Perez.

2nd half was a dud.

Fuming with Maddison and the weak ass ref. Then Maddison somehow redeems himself with that recovery and pass.

Ending was pure relief.

Sums it up 👍

Obviously absolutely delighted with the win - I was certain we were going to lose today.

I think we played a lot better in the first half than we had recently. We were moving the ball with speed and being much more aggressive going forward. Perez really excelled down the middle (like most of us have been saying he would do for months). In the second half, the zip mostly went out of our play and we reverted to slow, listless passing that bore no fruit as per usual.

There is still some really obvious frailties in the team though. Set pieces are an utter disgrace - how we've made no progress when this has been an enduring problem area for us is absolutely baffling. We still spend large portions of time in possession being ineffectual. For the talent, and possession we have, we're still not creating the number of chances you would expect.

Rodgers's substitutions were odd yet again. Fuchs was massively struggling and should have come off. Perez was unlucky to be subbed - particularly for Kel, who had an absolute stinker on Thursday. In general, our substitutions were far more negative than Sheffield United's, who have had the worst start in Premier League history. You'd expect a side with top four ambitions, who has just lost to another relegation threatened side to bring on more attacking players, but our swaps were like for like in the end.

I think a massive slice of good luck and a quality finish got us out of jail today.

If Rodgers bins his needless conservatism, stops persisting with Fuchs whose best days are behind him, and plays Perez back down the middle, we will pick up even more points than we already have.

Oh, and practice ****ing set pieces for **** sake!

Up until the last 5 matches yes.

Obviously you'd not pick up on that though.

We may have been the better team, does that mean we were anything other than dire? Think that word probably sums up the game, whether we were the better team or not.

Negative.

But if you wanna paper over the cracks I talk about so be it.

I do me old son. There are enough defeats to feel glum about. After a win just enjoy the glow of victory. Have a beer on me 🦊🦊🦊

I feel like our fans feel it’s our god given right to win every game and by some margin, anyone who watched that game knew we were the better side and the stats reflect that.

do people just think teams at the bottom are just gonna turn over for us? If we had Barnes and Under then I don’t think we would of won that game

Why didn't that centre half foul vardy. Take one for the team

No idea, that was suicidal from them. To be fair, Fofana did something similar against Braga the other day too, so perhaps he was too honest.

Evans, Mendy and Perez our best players today. Fuchs showed his age and being asked to play every game. Albrighton works hard but doesn't offer much going forward. Maddison awful. Vardy poor until his goal. Tielemans mixed bag. Justin continues to impress. Subs very odd.

I can understand the 2 subs he did make

Apart from 2 20 minute odd sub appearances in the Europa League Perez hasn't started a game since October and he has always been a player that only lasts about 60 minutes (last season he only played the full 90 minutes 6 times), and replaced him with a striker

Wilf comes on for Mendy to give us some extra height in the box from corners seeing as McBurnie was winning pretty much every header, and to also get him a bit more game time

I do think he should have made another sub with Under or Barnes coming on for probably Albrighton but the 2 subs he did make weren't odd

Honesty wouldnt surprise me if some of our 'fans' stuck their foot through the wall in annoyance when Vardy scored.

what a stupid comment and also to the poster you responded to. Everyone is goi g to be happy but including myself are not happy with  aspects of the play. There is so much to improve on like defending and attacking set pieces but for a while know they don't seem to learn from it

You were watching a different game to me. Tielemens was absolutely awesome and MOM for me. we are so lucky to have him but i find it crazy how every game I read this stuff. He’s always mixed or only good when on top etc. Maddison awful? Seriously!? His set pieces were terrible but in open play he was decent and always looked like our biggest chance if scoring.

Subs odd? Literally the exact perfect subs for me. Ndidi looked assured and strong when he came on. No one messes with him and we look hugely better.

Nacho also for me had a good game, despite a few dodgy moments, his hold up play game us moments.

Cant even celebrate that because the three points just hides the fact that we've been crap for a month, were crap today, and will be crap in the immediate future if Rodgers doesn't change his mindset to games.

Seems to be a lot of comments by people trying to justify their doomsday scenario predictions.

They can justify their negativity in their own head all they want.

As much as we’ve been frustrating to watch recently, inconsistent and Rogers has made some mistakes - we’re in the mix and qualified for the next stages in Europe. Any sane individual will see that as a great start.

A fully fit team will likely see improvement, Fuchs starting every game should say it all. Room for improvement but the vapid hot takes from some on here is so boring.

BR said before the game that most of Sheff Us results have been settled by a single goal, and so it proved. they're a bit like us in the great escape season, not playing badly but not getting the rub of the green. It's the difference between a good keeper last season and a very average keeper this season.

BTW your Sunday lunch tastes so much better after a good win.
