Nah it is definitely harsh and an unnecessary comment really. I remember when I was at uni and we were in league one I used to go to all of the away games. I was also amazed when I would be on train to say Huddersfield and Bernie was on it. I just couldn’t work out how someone seemingly so not with it could still get to these random Yorkshire towns by train ok.

It’s harsh in the same way that the club only having 4,000 tickets or whatever and plenty of deserving folk not being able to go is harsh.

 

We all know Bernie and he’s a much-loved character but if he’s 4,001st on the list and there are 4,000 tickets then unfortunately there are 4,000 more deserving people who should go. Why should they miss out just because they haven’t been such a well-known character?

 

I think that’s fair. And I think if a social media campaign were to result in the priority system being disregarded just for the sake of a well-known character that would be unfair. Someone has to miss out here.

Update regarding Bernie, they were able to get him a ticket, unfortunately Bernie will be unable to go to Wembley
