egg_fried_rice Posted 7 August 2021 Posted 7 August 2021 Had that rotational agility back today which must be so hard to come by following such a serious injury. Got some grit this fella - a superb footballer and I'm so glad he's looking like returning to his previous high levels. 2

Jaspa Posted 7 August 2021 Posted 7 August 2021 We've got our Ricky back, we've got our Ricky back. WE'VE GOT OUR RICKY BACK, WE'VE GOT OUR RICKY BACK ...... Bit of a dilemma with his contract though, 2 years left. Either we somehow get him to sign up for another few years, or we'll have to sell him next summer. Either way great to see him back fit, what a player. I know he had that one mistake, but he looked super again.

I know he had that one mistake, but he looked super again. Ricardo is 27 so unless we get Champions League football he most likely will be off, because he is more than good enough to play in it. PSG just signed Hakimi for 60m from Inter Milan, and IMO he's not as good as Ricardo (though is younger), so there will be takers. I don't think it would be a case of Riccy not loving Leicester, but more that football is a short career, he'd be at his physical peak and has that one big move left in him left to make. Obviously don't want to lose him, but we've got James Justin and Castagne so losing him wouldn't be the end of the world, even if he'd be sorely missed. I hope that many of our players do stay, but if after many years of good service they make a move to a Real Madrid / Bayern / Juventus sort of team then I don't really have a problem. Players don't grow up playing for Leicester, well not yet anyway! The way we are going that will probably change and maybe in 10-15 years we will hear stories about players that had Vardy's poster up on their wall and so on. The bigger worry is when players go to other teams in our league, which is what tends to happen! As that means they get stronger and we get weaker at the same time. 5
StanSP Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 Not just going forward that he excelled (and it was a joy to see Ricardo back to form anyway) 4
coolhandfox Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 Top player, could easily be our player of the season if he hits top form.
KFS Posted 8 August 2021 Posted 8 August 2021 Was sooo good yesterday. Feels infinitely less painful watching Perez when Ricky is in the side

He will be third - Daka is first, as be bags 35 goals in our Premier League winning season. Perez is second, for no apparent reason Edited 8 August 2021 by StevieLynex
StriderHiryu Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 Between him and Tielemans for MOTM for me today. Brilliant assist and great at both ends of the pitch. When he plays like that, for me he’s the best RB in the league.
baldeagle Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 Guess who's back, Back again, Riccy’s back Tell a friend 2
hejammy Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 Ricky P, great game for him. Thought he was brilliant at both ends of the pitch. Will be interesting when Timmy and JJ are fit!
Max Power Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 Back to his best and it brings a tear to your eye. Top player.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 I can’t remember who it was but someone on here last year was adamant he wouldn’t return to his former self. What a silly opinion. The guy is so good to watch when he is fully fit and firing!

They could interchange and that allows Timmy to bomb up and Ricardo to drop in and vice versus. Could be fantastic. Great to see him back to somewhat his best. Looks fitter and confident and whilst might never be that flying best - aka Newcastle 5-0 2019 form, he’s a quality member of our squad and a fantastic player, great to see after such a bad injury!
StriderHiryu Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 There was a moment during the game where Maddison almost played Riccy through to be 1-1 with the keeper where he was the furthest player forward, operating in the number 9 role centrally in the pitch! That made me laugh and showed his attacking instincts. 1
Iran Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 Great to see his form returning after that horrible ACL injury, played brilliantly today!

I think we’re lucky that he’s the age he is, means we’ll get the best of him for another 3/4 years, rather than a a year (if he were younger, he’d be snapped up).
South Shire Fox Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 That was the 19/20 season Ricardo back today, get that mans contract sorted asap
Mr Weller Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 Top player back to his best. Like having a new signing!
Carl the Llama Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 That assist was pure Riccy P special reserve sauce.
Cropwellfox Posted 14 August 2021 Posted 14 August 2021 Could definitely see him playing RW against the ‘super league crew’ when Timmy C is fit and back to form. They couldn’t live with him as an attacking player at times today. What a guy
