Woohoo :D

 

 

1st half was a shadow of our normal selves but 2ns half we were a class above Brentford.

 

First goal was quality, great strength from Maddison and lovely finish from Under. Superb penalty from Youri for the 2nd and quality again from Under to play in Barnes for the 3rd, good following up from Maddison. 

 

Clearly got a good bollocking from Rodgers at half time to play so much better in the 2nd half. Moved the ball quicker and played it forward quicker to get around Brentford's press. 

 

Great to see Ricardo get 70 mins, Soyuncu get a full game and Under get some goal involvements too :appl:. 

 

Maddison probably my man of the match. Soyuncu and Under close behind. 

 

Road to Wembley continues :wub:

What a difference a half makes.

 

First half was like watching the 2007/2008 version of Leicester City.

Second half was the 2020/2021 version of Leicester City.

 

Under was MOTM for me, didn’t really do much in the first half, but he changed the game in the second, nice finish for his goal, terrific pass to Barnes that lead to our third.
 

Roll on Brighton in the next round :thumbup:

The first half was very uncomfortable, undone yet again by the old set pieces achilles heel. Superb finish from Under, who had a decent game, to get us on level terms in a 5 minute spell that turned the game around with a well taken Tielemans penalty. Confidence flowed throughout the team after that and in the end the third goal from Maddison put us out of sight in what became a professional performance and convincing victory. Fantastic that Soyuncu got the full 90 minutes and great to see Ricardo getting some valuable minutes and looking like he's getting back to his best again. Brighton at home is a hugely winnable tie and we have a great opportunity to go a long way in the FA Cup this season.

Started well, conceded a poor goal and didn't look good until half-time afterwards. Stepped it up in the second half and turning it around quickly put us in control, just needed the third after that.

 

Tielemans, Under, Maddison all excellent in the second half, Under was good throughout. Soyuncu looked better later on, Amartey looked shaky in the beginning and Ward had a mixed day, couple of good saves but poor near the end.

 

Glad we're through and with a home match in the next round.
