Gerard Posted 13 March 2021 Posted 13 March 2021 Just looking at the Blades likely back three tomorrow. Jagielka - who will be 39 in August Ampadu - a 20yo who is predominately a DM playing CB Kean - a 24yo who this time last year was on loan at League One Bolton. No PL game is a gimme for us but the above are certainly there to be got at.
Ian Nacho Posted 13 March 2021 Posted 13 March 2021 Very odd statement, especially the ‘if we are relegated’ part. Sounds like some kids done it. At least try and polish a turd and say “for the continued growth and development of the club”.

I wonder if their messageboards have similar meltdowns about that? Three at the back here is sensible for all sorts of reasons. 1) They usually play two up top 2) We haven't got the greatest wide players available 3) We have two good attacking wing backs 4) It gets the in form Iheanacho in the team 5) With our three star CB's all available it means we can get our best players on the pitch Hopefully Castagne and Ricardo can get forward a lot with such a strong back three behind them. It gives us a chance to play two up top and Perez probably just behind so we'll have three goal scorers on the pitch in the three attacking positions rather than Vardy on his own and Ricardo and Albrighton as our wide attacking players. 2

We all know what happens in act 2. Yes you can just see the way it could play out. Plus new manager bounce for them. Don't really think we are playing that well right now either, certainly not with any high level of consistency. I suspect it will be a close untidy affair with us probably dragged down to their level.

fox_favourite Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 You just know where this game is going to go. But hopefully, with a proper rest and some players coming back from injury, I’ll be proved wrong. We need a win to keep gap between us and the chasing pack. Won’t be an easy game now. Might be another hard watch.
Ric Flair Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 Perez will start behind Vardy and Iheanacho, Rodgers will look at the fact Perez has scored twice against these before. 1
Daveb5569 Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 Teams around us yesterday Chelsea & Everton both slipped up. Again it's in our own hands again. Need to make a statement today go out and hammer these boost our home form.. with the games coming up need to win this one today.
ronnup Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 If we can win this and Man U beat West Ham I'd be a lot more confident about 4th. Got to capitalise on the weekends results.
shailen Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 Kasper Ricardo Fofana Evans Soyuncu Castange N'didi Tielemans Perez/Praet/Tavares Iheanacho Vardy 1
foxfan92 Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 I always get nervous when everyone on Foxestalk seems too confident going into a match. Most seem to feel 3 at the back allows us to play the best team available, and while not a fan of 3 at the back I'd possibly have to agree. However, (while I've suggested Ricardo at right wing before),any formation that sees him and Castagne at either fullback or wingback works for me. Having Perez and Praet back should help us be more creative in attack. Perez should be more central, (I'd like to think), if he does feature and I think he's played better there, while Praet has been mostly very reliable when called upon. 1
The People's Hero Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 Maddison has a chronic hip issue. We have issues with hips at the club. Its something he will always have to manage and I doubt he will play too many full seasons. Its the reason I suspect he might be the big player we cash in on, if any.

Strokes Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 I really don’t think we need to go 3 at the back vs these, they provide little to no threat going forwards and it will only leave us unnecessarily vulnerable, as the team tends to sit too deep all over in this formation. 1

But seriously; of course not. Wouldn't be surprised if both of them ended up with that exact thing prematurely once their playing days are over though.
Fox 4 Life Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 (edited) Results have gone our way so far this weekend and United, West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal all play each other so we need to capitalise! Edited 14 March 2021 by Fox 4 Life
Jobyfox Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 It would be very Leicester-ish for all the other results to go our way and then we lose
Popular Post leicesterseddon Posted 14 March 2021 Popular Post Posted 14 March 2021 I just hope we play a back four. I think Ricardo and Castagne are actually less dangerous as wing-backs, because they are the highest players on the pitch out wide. Ricardo in particular benefits from having a right-winger ahead of him, he’s so good at one-twos and getting round players on the overlap. 6
Pliskin Posted 14 March 2021 Posted 14 March 2021 We won’t lose this. They’re shit and bottom for a reason. Kasper Ricardo. Cags. Fofana. Castagne Ndidi Praet. Youri Perez Kalch. Vardy or Kasper Ricardo. Cags. Fofana. Castagne Ndidi. Youri Perez Albrighton. Kelch Vardy
