FA Cup Final

I appreciate I am biased as I'm a very high number priority but they really are shooting themselves in the foot if they don't use that system here.

I would be nowhere near a number of priority points, but absolutely agree that those who have the most should be front of the queue (if there is one)

Have got a couple avenues of getting hold of a couple but I doubt either will come off.

I have tickets for one of our group games (well, had, I’ll probably loose them in the second ballot) at the euros and they are looking at 22,000 odd for that, they’ve said a few times the FA cup could be a test for the Euros so maybe that’s not out the equation if the cases stay down.

Even then the FA are only going to want certain amount of people travelling so it’s gonna be a few thousand through the club and maybe a few hundred given out by county FA to local clubs. They will be like rocking horse shit.

The club will 100% use highest priority ST holders for their allocation.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that anywhere up to 50% of tickets to the FA Cup final go to corporate / owners / sponsors / executives anyway? You think the companies that have paid money to help finance / organise the competition are simply going to give up the tickets that were in their contract? Not a chance.

Each club will be lucky to get 5000 tickets, maybe even less if some are given to NHS etc, then we may be looking at nearer 3000 each.

The tickets we do get should go via priority points, absolutely, even though I’m gutted that it will rule me out.

Anyone thinking we will get an allocation anywhere near 8000 tickets though is dilusional I’m afraid.

The only thing that potentially makes this different is that its a government test event and there will be particular types of data they are after.

Considering the club has lost a huge amount of revenue surely those who continued to contribute should get priority?

Sky/BT/Prime subscriptions

season ticket renewal fee

this would surely be fairer than old priority points?

I am kind of gutted I won’t have enough priority points to realistically be in contention.

I always thought if we got to the final being a STH would be enough, not this year though.

Then I remember this is going to be nowhere near a normal cup final day and maybe watching at home isn’t going to be that bad an option.

If the carabao cup final is anything to go by they have allocated 8,000 tickets, 4,000 to local residents and NHS staff and 2,000 to each club. For Man City fans you have to specify how you plan to travel, by club coach, train or car. If I was a guessing man I would expect the FA Cup final to double the numbers so 4,000 to each club. If you are priority one on the points system you will probably get a ticket, anyone else will be struggling.

There’s not 4000 priority one. All of priority one and some p2 will get one. If that’s how they’re gonna do it.

I've accepted I won't be going as I lost all my priority points a couple of seasons ago so I'm miles off the top priority now. Will be watching it with the boys at home. Priority system is the fairest way for sure, if they ballot it it'll be an absolute disgrace.

Agreed I reckon I'm in the top 6/7 thousand so there's an outside long shot chance but irregardless of if I can go or not it has to be the most loyal fans who get to go.

How do you loose your priority points out of interest?

Don't they change the priority points for every game?

If experience of play off semi finals etc has has taught me anything most of these will go to players family and staff etc.

As this is part of the pilot events and later in the run of various pilot events, I think they may scrap social distancing and mask wearing for this (BRIT awards are 4 days before and do not have social distancing or masks, only negative tests). Which would make sense as they are ramping up tests/pilots to analyse the data in readiness for a potential full release in June.

Yes yes! How dare someone ask to check if it is safe for others if you attend the game! It's a disgrace, next thing you know they will ask you not to come wielding machetes and pocket knives! These controlling barstewards

Tickets will have clear names on them and you will have to produce photo ID at at least 3 checkpoints so unless it’s from the club or official channels there is little hope, I have a friend is the finance director of on of the main sponsors of the FA and he has been told little hope as they will be getting so few tickets

Absolute nonsense. If you think people will not have to wear masks and social distance at public events you're very much mistaken.

I think that any fans who do go to the game should be given a ticket by priority points as well.

I'm a season ticket holder and don't go to many away games so I wouldn't have nearly enough points I don't think, but it would be the only fair way to do it.

Did you actually read the news about the BRITs where exactly that is happening?

Word going around we'll be allocated 7,000 tickets and it'll be based on priority points.

No Under 18s allowed.

And anyone who gets a ticket for the final will not get a ticket for the home league game with Spurs.

Just whispers right now.

Kind of makes sense.... if I can't go with the kids, no thanks.....

Makes sense though and that’s more than fair enough from my perspective. I’d happily sacrifice Spurs at home for a Wembley ticket, especially as my priority points are well up there.

Seems a little harsh on the under 18s.
