Fair play to you both, I've done the same, but I'm gutted about it.

Yeah I am. Had a ticket in the basket but know I won’t enjoy it like I want too, so didn’t go through with it.

Just to clarify - those in the centre of Leicester read this - https://www.leicester.gov.uk/your-council/coronavirus/coronavirus-in-leicester-latest-news/covid-19-rapid-tests/

The council have extended the opening hours for the Cup Final and changed it to appointments for the 13th and 14th

The same was the case in Hinckley (extended opening hours), so I would assume it might apply with the other centres in the county too.

I assumed the club would be handing out tickets on the day when you present your ID & negative COVID test but it appears the tickets are print at home.

What could stop somebody getting the training or driving once they have their ticket? Will there be a register for all 6,000 or so getting onto the buses?

I was tempted to do this but apparently they can cancel your ticket if you don’t go on the coach. So not worth the risk

I’m not massively technical but I don’t understand how they could police that unless they had a digital register of everyone who gets on the bus and then the barcode / QR code of all the tickets who don’t get on the bus are cancelled / voided - I’m unsure if that’s even possible to do?

What happens if you miss the bus and you have no choice but to drive or train lol

If they scan your match ticket prior to bus entry, they can easily sort a system that tickets set to be on a coach that haven't been registered won't be activated. But if you want to risk it, then go ahead. For the sake of a few hours, I don't see the issue.

It’s not something I would risk for sure, I was just thinking out loud on behalf of the people who didn’t go for coach reasons / the ones who rushed to change their address.

Did anyone that changed their address after the announcement manage to select the train/car option? Everyone I saw that did it still had to go on the party buses.

I've accepted the coach disappointment now. It's going to be everyone in the same position and the same people and characters that would normally make their own way on the train etc. It's a FA cup final and we're ****ing in it!! Of course it's worth the minor down side. I just hope they leave at a decent time to be able to sink a few.

Check points at Wembley

Bit strange that the departure time of these coaches hasn’t been announced.

Is it too much to ask that something might be sorted where at least the fans who have been on the bus can congregate for a drink at Wembley?

This is a test event after all. If you want realistic conditions around testing the return of fans to football then you have to allow people to congregate for a drink.

Even if it's from a shop near The Torch...that afternoon before the Charity Shield was really good!

Coaches will leave in a staggered fashion I imagine. So they'll sort people into coaches depending on numbers booked together etc and that'll take a little time before it's announced. We've been told between 10:30-12:30 as a region.

Do the club coaches have toilets on or do i need to bring an empty bottle?

The fox travel ones  do but some of them aren’t great in the khazi. They’d be all sorts of companies lined up for this though, maybe those old double decker school buses :D

Truckers Tizer is the order of the day plus no ones sitting near you to see you syphon it out.

I hope so, remember when we went Chelsea in League Cup - took about 45 minutes for the coaches to get onto Narborough Road with the lights around Upperton Road. Police escort straight through to Watford Gap and then first piss
