StanSP Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Reckon we'll go 2-0 up. They'll bring on their big guns at HT/2nd half and they'll get a goal back and it'll be nervy as fvck. But we'll see it out because we're worthy of top 4 2
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 11 May 2021 Popular Post Posted 11 May 2021 I feel a bit sick already. 5 1
Jimbo Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Got a nasty feeling that they put out a weaker side, we get all confident an hour before kickoff, bad 1st half, 0-0 at half time, press 2nd half, get caught a couple of times on the break, lose 2-0

Les-TA-Jon Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 Presume Evans is out and is a doubt for the cup final too? Who the hell are we gonna play the back?
Ric Flair Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 This won't be easy, but christ this is surely going to be us going as full strength as possible in a cup game vs a team who have decided to ring the changes. Doesn't always work out positively but we have been gifted another chance here. Go and take all 3 points and turn the screw on Liverpool and West Ham. 3

No one said they'll go easy on us when the whistle blows but needs must and OGS is forced to rest his first XI because of the fixture congestion and we expect to face a team of squad players and their best academy players.

They’ll rest players against both sides, because their league place is basically locked in, but that’s it. They’re not going to tank against us and then play a full-strength side against Liverpool. Yes they will, IMO of course. It just makes it so much easier to go full strength Thu-Sun-Thu and a free hit against us with squad and academy players. Trying to cover all bases by playing a mix and match first Xi in four games in eight days just causes more problems.

Man Utd have basically got two shots of forcing Liverpool into the EL this week, which could weaken their hand in terms of strengthening for next season. Another very valid point. 1

Do new additions to West Ham club shop hint at next season’s kits? Man United will have a huge say on West Ham’s Champions League hopes in the next 48 hours. The Red Devils play Leicester tonight and Liverpool on Thursday evening. And West Ham are desperate for Solskjaer’s side to win both games to reignite their dreams of making the top four. Man United set to have a massive say in West Ham’s Champions League hopes this week If that happens – and West Ham beat Brighton on Saturday night, the Hammers would suddenly be favourites for fourth place. Solskjaer admitted he would likely anger the likes of Moyes and West Ham by resting key players, particularly against the Foxes. And he even admitted that gives West Ham’s top four rivals a seriously unfair advantage. Last week Solskjaer slammed the decision to reschedule Man United’s clash with Liverpool for Thursday, insisting he will have no choice but to rotate his players in order to protect them from injury (Sky Sports). He also said the concerns of the likes of West Ham, chasing the top four, were ‘not his problem’. Solskjaer moves to reassure Moyes he is looking to beat Leicester and Liverpool in frantic 48 hours That sparked a reaction from Moyes, who questioned the integrity of the Premier League (Manchester Evening News). But now Solskjaer has spoken out to reassure Moyes and West Ham fans that he will be going all out to win both games, even if he does make some changes against Leicester. Because Man United are under pressure to keep their fans happy amid ongoing unrest at the club. “We want to listen, the players want to play the game,” Solskjaer told the press ahead of two games in as many days (Sky Sports). ‘We’re going to do everything we can’ “We’re playing Liverpool – of course we want to beat Liverpool and we want to beat Leicester. “So we’re going to do everything we can for our fans to celebrate what we’re doing on the pitch.” Solskjaer stopped short of confirming he would field his strongest possible team, though. He added that he would assess his squad today before deciding whether to hand debuts to a number of young players in his squad such as Amad Diallo and Shola Shoretire (ManUtd.com). West Ham fans can only sit and wait in hope. If we beat a weakened Man Utd tonight I will spend a couple of hours of the rest of my evening on the Liverpool, West Ham and Everton forums reading them whinge. I'll do it all with a beer and some popcorn (salty popcorn of course).

Guest ttfn Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 It really doesn’t help that this game is at 6. It feels like both an interminably long build-up and also no build-up at all
Astleyfox Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 I reckon its all down to Buck, tonight. If he sends the team out with instructions to not dare lose the ball, keeping it tight for the first 85 minutes, its gonna go tits up. Let off their leads! We have good attacking players, let them attack.
BlackFox Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 90 minutes of dull yet nerve wrecking football, the ref gives 3 additional minutes, we get a corner kick, Amartey scores a fabulous header in the 93th... And then I woke up😕
Jobyfox Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 After the Newcastle shitshow I’ve got no optimism or confidence left. Only hope ....
turlo Posted 11 May 2021 Posted 11 May 2021 98th minute penalty wins it for Leicester. Bruno Fernandes comes off the bench, dives in his own area and takes it for us to ensure Liverpool are shafted. 3
Popular Post ozleicester Posted 11 May 2021 Popular Post Posted 11 May 2021 Just checked into my dodgy hotel with even dodgier wifi in the middle of WA.... Midnight kickoff... just not confident of seeing this.... which is so very sad as we are going to wallop them 3-1 6
