Its looking like Leeds will spend the money and that will be a more important miss than Trincao.

I’ll take Trincao over him, and can’t see why Leeds want him when they have Rafinha (would be too expensive for just squad depth).

Thing that impresses me with Pereira is not his skill , that is to be expected , its his strength . He is no lightweight , he holds the ball up really well. Although no Tielemans , he has good vision and sees a telling pass.

...I think we need to leave this fixation with Berardi and pick up  Pereira!!!

This trailing of Berardi will inevitably end the same as Trincao, we need to let it go.

Guessing you haven't heard?

lollol

LOL! I did, but was saying that Trincao is the bigger miss (of course it’s all personal opinions).

If we don't go for this guy we are missing a trick IMO.  11 goals and 6 assists in struggling West Brom side.

Even if he just brought those exact numbers to our right wing slot it would make a massive difference to us.

Proven PL performer.

Really hope we go for him.

Me too. Really easy signing this imo.

Didn't Tanner say we didn't have any more money for more signings unless we sell someone which in that case I would give up on this one.

Where did he say that?

Apart from some tenuous link in the Express back in early May, I don't think there has been any other suggestion that we are in for him. Would love it to happen, but I do wonder if he is on our radar or not.

I meant Tanner not Percy.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of this also, but my point stands, it's almost 2 months since we were allegedly showing an 'interest' and as far as I'm aware no further developments.

They based that on the fact we never have more than a £30-40m net spend.

We will sell players anyway. At the very least Ghezzal and Hamza will be going for £15m + collectively and I still think Praet may well be sold for at least that so there will be funds for a very good right winger and back up CB if we pursue one.

Other outs could include Amartey, Benkovic and Ward who again would raise a fair few million.

True but apart from a few for Ghezzal there hasn't really been any solid links for any sales. I imagine if we do manage to sell them then I fear it will be too near the deadline for us to make any moves.

The club often make signings over and above what they have forecast as the likely final net spend, knowing that they'll claw it back. Don't be surprised to see a loan with an obligation to buy anyway if this is an issue.
