Turkey are negative though. Its hard having to defend all the time whilst your midfielders and forwards can't string 5 passes together in the opposition dion half. The ball kept getting recycled back to Italy.

Italy were very good - particularly 2nd half.

 

Forward thinking and quick in attack.

 

Turkey played like it was actually an away game for them.

 

Probably hoped to nick a point and then rely on winning the other 2 games to come 2nd.

 

Bit of pressure though as they now have a -3 GD.

Loved watching Italy. Quick tempo, high pressing, also loved the rotation of positions, the midfield dropping in, covering the left back who was basically a winger, creating overloads all the time. When you watch teams like that, makes you realise how rigid England teams always are
