I almost feel bad the Scottish pundits. "That was a chance for the Czechs to really put the game to bed", like Scotland have any hope of even scoring one. lol

The Czech Republic have a very respectable record at the Euros for a smaller country.

Seem to always get to the Euros but their World Cup record is interesting, qualified for only one finals since 1990.

Czechoslovakia won Euro 76 and made two World Cup finals. They're incredibly overlooked

2008 was their last decent showing at a tournament. Nedved was the last world class players they produced (Rociscky was good but not great and Cech is a keeper) and Nedved retired in 2006 from international football.

Man was absolutely, undeniably world class until the injuries started to really hold him back.

He left Dortnund aged 25 and after that he's been so injury prone. You can't call him world class when he was injured all the time at Arsenal. He was a good player.

Scotland played well, created quite a few really good chances and had no luck, given how poor Croatia were and the fact almost every team gets through to the next round :D  they shouldn't be too discouraged.

Really? I was thinking that if we do not beat both of these teams by at least a couple of goals then we have no right to really be considered potential winners of this tournament.  It has been like a League 1 game with a couple of class finishes.

Yep.

Scotland are woeful. Just no quality at all.

They get their cup final on Friday, then hopefully we won't see them for another twenty odd years.

Just got in to see Scotland losing .

Going by the BBC  website they have done everything but score whilst the Czechs have had 2 moments of real quality whereas Scotland had very little .

A harsh lesson learnt for the Scots at the highest level?
