Arsenal have the name, great stadium and location, that’s all. They are a mess of a club currently, well off the pace and likely to be mediocre again this season. 
 

He’d be mad to go, but it would give us the money to improve. 
 

All a little redundant though, as Arsenal clearly cannot pay what he’s worth.

But the real change came with the change of Guard at the top of the club who stated that there would be no more Marquee signings and then ousted Wenger,

Which makes them a Yellow pack Club now. Even the Spuds have usurped them in recent years.

I can’t remember who it was, but someone said he should join Arsenal because they are bigger club and have had more success in the last twenty years. Twenty is a bit arbitrary though isn’t it - what about actual recent history, say the last 5 years…

 

We are a stable club on an upward trajectory, and they are in disarray and on the skids big time. If past success is what a player looks for Maddison would do better to sign for Forest. They’ve actually won the European Cup haven’t they?

...at the time it was stated that there was a contract on the desk waiting for Wenger to sign!!!

Wenger apparently decided to leave and so ended an era. Wenger much later has stated he was pushed and wanted to stay but he never had the opportunity. I believe Arsenal had a contract for him to sign, he became more and more deluded and the purse strings were loosened when he bought in Aubameyang and Lacazette for £57m and £47m respectively. I believe Arsenal are looking to offload them both.

Ramsdale deal off -apparently per TalkSport jus now.  They cannot agree fee - usual crap with Arsenal.
