**** the Super League, by the way.

If anything this is a greater advert for it. A team that are technically still in it qon the champions league and played (and beat) 5 other teams that would have ben in it.

How was Michael Owen a professional footballer. I don’t think I’ve known anyone chat so much illogical bollocks as he does. It’s like watching football with someone who doesn’t watch football and just regurgitates what they see accompanied with the bleeding obvious.

He’s an absolute pickled onion.

If ever you needed a reminder of how biased our media is about top teams in the PL compared to the rest of Europe , this was it.

This Madrid side showed enough character to kill a pretty comfortbale Man City team in minutes, and have now done a pretty bloody good job on Liverpool too. Not what everyone over here was expecting I don't think.

Fouled his pants live on television.

Imagine ending up that way after the goal against Argentina.

He just had to do nothing to be hero.

Surely Owen’s risible comments about Liverpool still being the best team in Europe - and Ferdinand then shooting him down in flames - will end his career as a pundit. No one will ever take the biased idiot seriously again.

I sometimes think we’re guilty of assuming that because someone played a high level of football they are knowledgeable about the game, owen Is a an example of someone who was good but has no idea, I guess why that’s why there’s plenty of shit managers and coaches around.

I think the difference in the Man City match is they should have killed that game off and let Real Madrid off the hook through not going three nil from Grealish on numerous occasions and falling asleep in the last few minutes.

With Chelsea and Liverpool, they were in relative control and deserved to win both as a result.

Feel chuffed for Madrid tonight tbf

Theyve somehow beat PSG, Chelsea, Man City and now the scousers to lift this trophy. If that doesn’t mean they deserve it, nothing does.
I thought Acellotti set them up superb tonight.

Man City far better vs Madrid and won the league.

Liverpool aren’t even the best side in England. No idea what Owe is chatting about.

Wales. Golf. Madrid.

Thought he might have been able to afford something better than a golf to travel from Wales to Madrid

Didn't know Gerrard was that funny tbf.

Comes across as pretty knowledgeable about the game. Not surprised he's gone into management whilst Owen's gone into the media.

I can't disagree with that, but they still made it through didn't they. Ultimately that is what matters.

Pep's spell at Man City has been phenomenal really, but it will always have that asterix against it in Europe because they've never quite done it in the biggest game. Domestically they have been incredible but unlike Bayern, Liverpool and even Chelsea, they've never been the best team in Europe. And now Real are. Again.

Tough luck for Liverpool. I feel bad for a lot of close friends, but I'm secretly pleased.

Vamos Los Blancos!
