I’ll say it again for those who missed it yesterday

when a club has an outbreak of covid amongst its staff, it’s unknown who is likely to be infectious and come down with it over the next 24/48 hours.

it would be ridiculous for Man U to travel to London and risk infecting those members of the okaying staff who weren’t affected and also the hotel staff where they would be staying and then staff at Brentford

Spurs and our outbreak (if you can call ours an outbreak) was last week. It’s no longer a fluid situation. it’s v unlikely that any Spurs squad members and staff travelling up will be infectious

He was absolutely shocking at CB in the final game of last season against Spurs.

Alongside Ndidi wasn't it?  The only plus is they won't have Son and Bale to destroy us this time

It’s quite clear we aren’t going to be keeping a clean sheet tomorrow night. But what we do still have is plenty of attacking talent and pace so let’s go full 15/16 mode and hit them on the counter.  What other way is there?

So KDH isn’t even good enough for your weakened substitute’s bench?!

Assuming Delta is behind the positive cases which shows a lack of discipline by the clubs. It looks as though Omicron is going to force postponements though as it appears to be evading the vaccines.

Yep. Only 5000 omicron cases in today's figures..

I hope we all, as a collective, go easy on the defence tomorrow. This is an unprecedented defensive crisis. And Spurs are a dangerous attacking side. I think we can cut the lads slack if they don't keep a clean sheet.

Good thing is we have the attacking fire-power to hurt them. Maybe a very low block and hut them on the counter?

Both teams want the game off, both have confirmed cases but the game goes ahead.

Will be watching very closely to see which other matches are off.

Would it really have hurt to call it off if both teams agree?

it’s more than that - they cannot anything like a decent percentage  of the positive cases to know how many are omicron.

Surely it makes sense that the 25k increase in cases we have seen week on week is more likely omicron ??

Eddie howe comment about looking very closely at vaccination status before signing players is something that all clubs will now be doing.

He's right about players needing education but the penny might drop when they start seeing the effect it could have on their careers (and bank balance).

Or more likely ordinary flu. It's mid winter for goodness sake.

Something is not right with Bertrand. He’s changed. Maybe covid did it to him

...you would have thought that the impact would be to his fitness not to his cognitive abilities!!!

His lack of awareness and switching off may be a fatigue problem but he would have gone through a fitness process to confirm he was at a suitable level to play. We have either fallen short in the assessment or he has fallen off a cliff.

omicron cases take 5 to 7 days to be recognised alongside that they seem to think only 30 to 35% of positive cases are being tested for Omicron.

It’s here and been here for a while IMO.

A shame as I thought he looked quite good against Villareal in pre-season and in the Community Shield

I think long covid has done him

Surely if we change our name to Leicester Yannited over-night, a second request made tomorrow will receive an 'of course you can postpone the game' response from the EPL Muppets Panel?

Is the reason our isn’t off is not all the illness is covid? It is injuries too

also could be more as spurs thing than us in terms of them having to play.

No they have to be lab confirmed to go into the official figures so it won't be flu.
